Our cat kept trying to get into a room and it would scratch underneath the door and destroyed the carpet. We placed the plastic mar under the door and between the 2 rooms.It kept our cat away and it also was easy to open and close the door over it.

Neat Idea But Not Feasible
Although this carpet protector is a nice idea, the functionality of the product is not ideal. First of all, it is rolled up when received and had obviously been rolled for so long the plastic has molded to that shape, hence my photo. It does not lay flat and has a large bubble underneath to where it slides around and does nothing to protect the floor (even though I have kept it rolled flat underneath my heavy rug all day to hopefully straighten it out, the teeth do not grab the carpet because it is so deformed). I highly suggest to the seller packing it flat to prevent this deformation. It is thick and durable if this issue was fixed. Another issue is the length of it- it is way longer than the width of a door frame and is narrow, so either way you place it under the door does not protect the entire entry of the door. I would also suggest making this the same size as a door mat as it is not feasible to trim down. The plastic makes this easy to clean and could definitely be successful to protect against scratching, but the prior issues mentioned make this product an ‘okay’ product rather than a great one! I would be disappointed if I paid money for this.

Good quality
I needed this for my entrance. You donât need to have pets to purchase. I have small children and my carpet kept getting dirty so I bought these and it has been doing itâs job of protecting and keeping my carpet clean.

Totally useless
This did not help is one bit. The spikes are rounded and small, so our cat just walks right over it. The mat also comes in a tight roll and we haven’t been able to get it to stay flat. We laid it out and placed heavy items on it for more than a day, but after sitting spikes up for less than a day, it was rolling back up. It’s pretty useless for us.

The plastic carpet protector is actually thick. It’s quite sturdy and substantial.It’s designed for carpets and does have teeth to keep it in place. It doesn’t stick but does dig its teeth into the plush of the carpet to stay in place.It is easy to clean, as well.Measurements stated 14 feet by 3 1/2 feet wide but the one I received was only six feet long by about a foot. I’m not sure if that’s the actual size or a mistake so I didn’t remove a star for that. This is purely on the product, itself.Just make sure of the size you’re ordering.Does work well.
