PEACE OF MIND
Purchased for My Oakleigh.I camp a lot. Campgrounds seldom have cell service, so if my doggie were to get off her leash, I trust the finder would return her to me.ADVISE: Use a permanent marker directly on the plastic tag and disregard the clear sticker cover it is useless.

Great solution to a problem
We take our pug camping with us and the last time we went out the campground had poor cell service. I always feared what would happen if he slips his harness and we couldn’t find him. His tag has our phone number on it but that wont work when you’re in a park like that. That’s where these work perfect.We put his name, our number but also the site number and the days we’re camping on the tag. So if someone finds him it’s easy to know where to go.It would have been nice to have them In a zip up bag and include a marker to keep everything together.

Great idea but……
the paper they supply falls off the tag. You have to secure it with scotch tape front and back. Also use an ink pen that does not bleed ink so the handwriting on the paper can be readable under the scotch tape.

Pet ID tags when traveling
We travel in our RV with 4 cats and they always have on an engraved ID tag with their name and our phone number. Now when we stay somewhere for several days, we add our location on these camping tags for extra security should one of the kitties get out.

I don’t know how many of you travel with your dogs but my guess is that most dog owners would rather include their family dog with the family on a vacation. And while many owners have the GPS enabled trackers or similar, not all do.These tags are an inexpensive way to help who ever finds your dog a way to contact/find you. The problem with the GPS enabled solutions is that they don’t really help someone who finds your dog – they are designed to help you find them. And that is contingent on you realizing they need to be found!These tags are great for simply recording your phone or campsite or address and attaching to the collar. Even if you have a GPS tag, if someone finds you dog the tag will let the person know how to get your dog back to you (even if you didn’t know he/she got out!).The tag is roughly an inch in diameter and has a circular area that will fit a paper ‘tag’ (put information on) and a plastic cover. It affixes to the collar with a typical split ring. Pretty simple. And pretty effective.Beyond pet owners, I would suggest that campground managers consider ordering these as well simply as a service for their customers to keep their dogs identifiable.Simple solution – low tech but effective. 5 stars.
