Nice set- So much easier than kindergarten scissors!
The clippers are all easy to use, and the thinning shears are great for my overly-fluffy golden. With the thinning shears, I can give her a more natural look while still getting rid of the dreadlocks in her ears and her butt. (TMI, sorry, but seriously, thatâs what finally made me realize I needed to get on this.) They are all right-handed fwiw, and comfortable enough although I probably would enjoy the padding on the inside of the holes that you see on other sets (although that may have made them too small). The different sizes and the curved one are all a great idea, and you can use them for different parts. I was so excited to fix the job Iâd started with kindergarten scissors that I didnât even use all of the shears on the first round. The shears are all satisfyingly sharp, easy to use. I used the midsized and smaller ones to trim her toe hair and fix some of the miscellaneous âfeathersâ Iâd inadvertently left. Really, SO much easier than my valiant efforts with the baby scissors, and just as safe with he blunt end. I used the thinning shears to âclean upâ a little more and make the cut look less like the inexperienced âletâs get rid of the excess fur and dreadlocksâ process that I actually employed, and I think it worked really well. Anyone who knows my fluffy pooch would be able to see that Iâd trimmed her, but if not, she mostly just looks like a shorter-haired Golden. I also got this after looking at the electric shears, and noting that none of the attachments would result in her having anything remotely resembling a natural coat. And all the sad-pet pictures in the reviews sealed that deal. (Even the people who thought those shears were 5-star worthy had the most embarrassed-looking, choppy, way-too-short-haired pups.) Mine still looks like a Golden after my efforts, and sheâll pick up a few less stray pine and redwood needles and dirt and mud, and (hopefully) sheâll also attract fewer foxtails and ticks. I can see it will also help with the massive shedding happening now; at the very least, the fur she sheds will be shorter. The comb seems nice as well. The whole thing seems like a nice weight of stainless steel.Improvements that could be made but arenât deal-breakers:1) that case is nice to have, but donât call it leather. Itâs âpleather.â I hate when sellers are misleading that way, though I doubt that would bother many people (many of whom would probably still call it leather.2) While the elastics to hold the various implements seem nice on the surface, they donât work particularly well, and in fact itâs hard to fit the shears back into the case. Maybe would work better if the case were a little longer or if the elastics were a little looser. The elastics are the same on both sides of the case, btw, which may be why it doesnât work as well with the longer shears.3) I think it would be nice to just have pockets for the shears, and maybe also a pocket to store the comb and the âcleaning cloth.â

I’m no professional groomer, and I can’t afford one. I have a longhaired chi, and he’s grown accustomed too his little haircut/trim time and actually falls asleep. There isn’t a tool in there that doesn’t get used, and the case is stylish and sturdy! Scissors are sharp but not where they’ll cut anyone, which is VERY important to me as I struggle with tremors. So easy to use once you understand what each is for.

This scissor set is wonderful. It has a variety of scissors to make grooming easy. The seller was AMAZING! I didn’t know scissors were adjustable for trimming your dog, to account for different types of coat types. I really appreciated the prompt response of the seller and his prompt response for adjusting the scissors to the coat type of my dog. Seller went above and beyond! Do not hesitate to purchase from this seller. I am just a pet owner, not a groomer, and don’t know what I don’t know about grooming. The sellers input was invaluable! I have a long coat German Shepherd whose pants need to be trimmed. I didn’t want to send her to a groomer, as I like the rest of her coat long. Thanks to the seller, I was able to adjust the thinning scissors for a perfect trim for her pants. The different size scissors were also perfect for pad trims, as the hair between her foot pads also get long, along with a curve, for finishing touches..I love the rounded ends of the scissors, to prevent accidental knicks, as she is does move even in the stay position when she fidgets.

Good Choice And Made To Last
All of the scissors cut well and each of the scissors come with their own sheath which protects them while they are not in use. Very well presented and organized for anyone to use. The shelter I donated to had no problem using them to cut hair on a Yorkie, Maltese or Husky. I admit that I was skeptical like everyone else because the price point seemed just too good to be true but having a straight scissor, thinning shears and a curved scissors all in the same pack makes life so much easier. The weight is what tipped me off to just how good they were. I highly recommend.

Great set for the price! The quality is awesome, they’re sturdy and easy to use. I got a puppy who is 8 months old and I don’t trust him with a groomer so I trim his hair and while it’s not perfect and despite having zero experience, I think that this kit does a great job even if my trims on him aren’t perfect. One thing I have to say is don’t be fooled by these scissors…THEY ARE SHARP, EXTREMELY SHARP!!! BE CAREFUL around pets, and children because the blades in them are crisp.I love that they give you different sizes too and the mini ones are great for cutting around good eyes and ears. Worth the money. I highly recommend this kit.The photos I’ve included shows a front view a few days after a trim, the amount of hair I cut off during a trim and the back of his coat after a trim. I’m sure I’ll get better with his trims but this saves me $75 and saves him the stress of being tired and shaved by a stranger that he nor I don’t know. I can’t say enough but try these… They’re great.Update: He still hasn’t been to a groomer, I’ve been using this set since I’ve purchased it initially and I love it. Will I take him to a groomer someday, maybe but for now I enjoy cutting his hair myself. I think I do a decent job and he’s almost two now. Time really does fly!

I bought these to groom my terrier, and the scissors are just not sharp enough. They push the hair sideways, and can only cut through a small amount of hair at a time. The thinning shears similarly canât cut through big clumps of hair, which somewhat defeats their purpose.Iâm not particularly disappointed, because the set was low cost. But Iâm thinking it might be better just to go and buy one good quality pair of scissors.
