A lot for your money
The value of this first aid kit for pets is great. I love it! The size of the case is great for travel, the ease and use is great and the sturdiness of the box is perfect, you can take it anywhere you plan on traveling. I do wish it was a little more organized though but all in all what you spend on this everything inside should last a while. Awesome!

everything you need for emergencies!
This pet first aid kit has everything you need to treat your dog or cat in the event of an emergency. I figure we have first aid kits for us humans so why not have one tailored for my pets! Very surprised with the quality of the materials and this is perfect to keep in the car and at home.

Great case, room for extras, surprisingly good stock first aid kit!
I hate pre-made first aid kits. Especially those listed as “trauma” or some ridiculous BS that basically comes with some Band-Aids and Neosporin. I have complained about them all countless times, and the fact that the prices are exorbitantly high for nothing more than a few mismatched assortments of which only 2 or 3 items might actually be useful. This kit….has proven me wrong…at least for this kit specifically. Yes, it had Band-Aids…which I’ll be honest I’ve used on a dog maybe once in my life. It comes with Vet Wrap/Coban, whatever you wish to call it. Honestly, I stuck 2 more rolls in there since I use it for everything. It has 2 small tourniquets that I honestly don’t know would stop life-threatening blood loss, but the Coban will, and you can always add a SWAT tourniquet if desired. It has a decent selection of bandages/gauze, and I added a few more along with a package of compressed gauze for when you need extra. I would suggest two things above anything else added to this kit…. a syringe to wash out wounds, and a light source. Everyone knows when something bad happens it’s always at the worst time….usually in the dark. I’ll throw in a cheap headlamp. Other than that, I’d recommend a prepackaged can of saline water for wounds, and maybe some iodine which last time I checked is still a preferred wound cleanser by many vets…although perhaps diluted. (Always carry water bottles)The hard case is impressive and zips easily despite my addition of multiple items. The leash included is an important but often forgotten necessity, and I might add a cheap muzzle as well for an injured/unpredictable pet.The First Aid booklet is FULL of info for such a small booklet, and seems well organized, although I did note that most of it says “get your animal to the vet”…good idea, but not always possible when out in some areas. I would also recommend some sort of stop-bleed powder, and personally I added superglue. Small wounds, especially around the paws, can be very difficult to stop bleeding. Some liquid bandage is a decent alternative to glue, and carries less risk of messing up/sealing a wound that isn’t clean. The travel kit is a thoughtful bonus, although I find it personally somewhat useless. I did add a roll of gauze, a large 9×9 bandage folded, tape, and of course…Coban..flattened and put into a zip-loc bag then placed in the travel kit bag. Not much, but maybe useful in conjunction with my personal first aid kit when you only really need a bandage. (I admit…I’d carry an ambulance if it was easily carried everyday.)No, this kit isn’t perfect. No, it doesn’t contain what I think it should contain for my personal pet first aid kit. But….this kit as a pre-made kit with clear labelling and a good case comes with a great starting point for making a very comprehensive kit that FITS YOUR SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE and the injuries YOUR PET IS MOST LIKELY TO ENCOUNTER in YOUR ENVIRONMENT/ACTIVITIES.None are perfect. I change what’s in my personal kit at least once every two years…but I won’t give this kit anything less than 5 stars because you have to start somewhere and this kit easily covers the basics!

Awesome for home or travel
Iâm a crazy dog mom so having this has been great! Some of the things in there I replaced with other things if weâre traveling like hot spot ointment and benedryl and a couple other things that are important if youâre away from home but otherwise the case itself is very nice and has lots of great things for emergencies including a pet care emergency hand book which will help you use the tools in the kit properly!

worthwhile peace of mind
This first aid kit is something you buy not wanting to use it, but for the peace of mind and for the âwhat ifâ moments. We used to live 5-10 minutes away from our vet and they were also a 24-hr emergency care location. Now, we live 25 minutes away from our 9-5 vet and nearly an hour from any emergency care location. Having an adequate first aid kit means that weâre better prepared to deescalate certain situations much better both at home and when traveling.Thereâs 3 key components to this kit that Iâd like to call out:- The case- The medical guide- The medical productsThe case itself is rubberized on the outside and has a protected zipper, so not only will it not slide around in the back of a car too much but I would describe it as âwater resistantâ – meaning it can be splashed and the contents will generally stay dry.The medical guide is pocket-sized but has a good selection of emergency and medical need situations described. No matter how long youâve had dogs and events youâve experienced, it can be nice to have that reinforcing knowledge base when the need arises. The gauze, vet wrap, tick removal tools, tweezers, warming blanket, vinyl gloves, instant ice pack, and styptic powder are all solid inclusions in the first aid kit. Depending on what is in your human first aid kit, you might be able to swap some of these items out to make more room for increased quantities of items or additional items, but its a great starting point.Just like having a well-stocked human first aid kit is important when traveling, Iâll probably supplement this first aid kit before we head out on camping trips by adding more vet wrap, cotton rounds for wiping out ears, Benadryl (for dosing at 1mg/lb of dog) and small sterile bottles of saline for rinsing eyes. This productâs secure and water-resistant case and included medical guide makes this a no-brainer starting point.

comprehensive pet First Aid kit!
This is a really nice pet first aid kit, including the very sturdy case it is housed in. It has a WIDE range of supplies included, as well as a small pet first aid guide (but you’d better have great vision or good glasses to read the tiny print!). The only odd thing is that it includes regular “band-aid” type bandages, which I don’t understand for pets (they would stick poorly, if at all, to pet fur!) but are great for you; and I wish the saline eyewash bottle included were reclosable and a bit larger – this one is a “once-and-done” eye wash. Recommended for anyone with a pet, especially if you travel with them (this fits under many/most car seats that have any open space below them).
