Great Cushioning at a GRREAT price
WOW ! ! ! firstly, these merino wool socks are nice and toasty……secondly, they are well made and most cushiony……I have already washed them (in cold water) 0n several occasions- they hold their size and cushion even after several washes…….HIGHLY recommended……especially like the reinforced toe and heel sections…..

    Looking forward to tostie toespuit
They arrived in a 12 x 18 by 1/4 inch box.It seemed to be a bit thin for 3 pairs of fluffy stocks. But the box was covered in large easy to read instructions. Turn socks inside out, put in warm dryer for 15 minutes and out comes warm fluffy socks .Well made, comfortable, easy to put on and fit well and fit my size 13 foot

Updated: Not quite Wigwam quality but Very Nice Feel
Update 11/22/18 These are holding up pretty well. The fuzz balls after washingwearing are increasing but not much thinning going on. For sheer 1st impression comfort these are hard to beat. Terrific for lounging around. For hiking however they loosen up too much while wearing hard. Spring back beautifully after wash/dryUpdate: 11/18/17 I am going back to my Wigwam crew Merino hiking sock after wearing both quite a bit. I wear these even in ‘warm’ weather as well as cool/cold/rainy – Wigwam when they’re clean, and these B&P when the Wigwam is in the wash. I wish I could give these 3.5 stars, but I want to stress that my complaints are peculiar to me, and may not affect you. I hope somebody from Buttons and Pleats is “listening” to these reviews. Why are these 2nd choice to the Wigwam sock?1. The inner weave of the wigwam is denser, softer, and uniform except for where the logo is but read on.2. The fit is ‘truer’ with Wigwam. My left foot is exactly a size 13 [men] D width but that width is only in the obvious wide spot – everywhere else my foot is boney. The Wigwam fits almost flawlessly. The B&P sock is considerably bigger [Large size – same size detail as Wigwam] – It would fit better on a 14 foot. The weave is looser stem to stern vs the Wigwam, which feels great for padding around the house with no shoes on, but becomes a problem inside the shoe. the toe area tends to go out of shape and wad up under my toes, the ball of my foot, and flexes too much on the boundaries. I often pull my shoe off, try to smooth out the B&P sock, and start again. Gets worse the longer you’re in them.3. The B&P Logo weaving is really a mess inside. I will take a picture later and post – the inside is stringy, thready, and breaks up the smooth continuity of the interior. This is aggravating. I must have sensitive skin cause I can feel that pile of threads. I would pay a few bucks MORE for the B&P without all that stuff inside the sock. Just make it smooth, continuous, uncomplicated, pleaseOtherwise they are great socks, much better than Kirkland for sure. YMMV. But for now, I’m buying a couple more pairs of the Wigwam crew hiker Merino ….This is excellent quality – the type of weave and feel I was looking for. This is right there on par with the best Merino wool sock from Wigwam. They feel very similar… I think the Wigwam uses different machinery to produce a tighter/finer feel to the finish, but the B&P feels marvelous. No offense to the Costco Kirkland-Signature Merino sock fans, but this B&P material is far more Merino-rich in feel and loft, much more ‘plush’, with the interior having that lined effect that Wigwam also achieves. The Kirkland is like a conventional sock, just with some wool in the blend, and has a much more coarse and ‘scratchy’ feel.Cons: I’m glad I bought, and these are ‘keepers’ but let me say that the SIZE is “generous” every which way. I wear a size 13 men’s shoe, and I am 6’2″. The sock is at LEAST mid-calf, not crew, and the foot is big. It would fit a 14 “perfect”. On my foot it is just loose enough that the material can tend to gather at the toes where it will get uncomfy if hiking and that ‘wad’ wrinkles up under the ball of the foot. This is a problem with every sock I have tried except for very thin/tight running socks, but less grievous on some than others. I’m sure, however, that dropping to the next lower size would be a big mistake, so I’ll wash them a little hot, dry them a little hot, and hope for a little shrinkage to “just right”.

    Great Price
These socks are comfortable, fit well, and keep my feel warm. The price for the 3 pair was so good that I bought 3 more…..they are snug at the ankles but I think they are helping with circulation in the lower parts of my legs

    Good warm sock
Thick warm wool socks. These will make your feet sweat if used in a warm climate. Wool is naturally wicking, but the thickness will make you warm. They say hand wash only (like all wool), but I run them right in the wash with everything else. They do shrink a little when you do this, but they still fit great and perform like new.

    Excellent socks
Excellent socks. Plenty of support and cushioning. I work outside in Wyoming and need warm comfortable socks. These socks are plenty warm without being too bulky. Good elastic on the uppers keep them from riding down in my work boots.

    Love the socks, but…
I really like these socks, super soft and warm. However not sure if they’re not very high quality or I just got a bad one. Hole in the toe after the second wash, boo!
