My husband is in the service, and whenever he’s deployed I wear one of his dog tags. Its sort of become tradition, and now its part of my superstition, I have to wear the tag everyday he’s gone. Well, you tear through a lot of silencers in 7 months of 24 hours wear! These are the same as what you’d get at any military store, except ten times cheaper. I’d actually like to suggest that they seem a little sturdier, even though I know logically they’re the same as the standard ones.I went with the normal black, but I think this next deployment I’ll get some of the other colors so I can switch it up 🙂

Way too big for dog tags
After reading reviews that stated these were wonderful I bought them. They are HUGE! I needed this for my dog’s rabies tag and AKC tag, but these silencers were too big! They didn’t even come close to fitting. I threw them out. 🙁

I was really expecting a lil better made quality but
These are ok i guess. I was really expecting a lil better made quality but, when made in China………you know. They are not the good ones like the military uses. They are cheap rubber and really stretchy. At first they stayed on alright, then they started to loosen up within the first week. I had to actually superglue 4 dabs on all 4 sides for it to finally stay. So far it’s worked ok for a couple weeks. Price is ok for free shipping but, i would not pay shipping on a product like this.

What is there to screw up
I ordered these for my nephew who loves the dog tags he wears. Since they give his address and parents phone numbers, we encourage him to wear them. Since he likes to play “soldier”, we gave him these to “quiet” his dog tags so he can sneak up on the enemy. They are sufficient to prevent any metal on metal contact between two dog tags. I don’t guarantee you can sneak up on an enemy if you use them.

Work well, I bought them for WW2 Navy replica tags which are not standard G.I. size and they fit well, a slight overlap on 1 letter of my info on tag but readable and easy to move rubber out of the way if needed. Work and silence the gingle without them, don’t look cheap or thin which I was worried about. Good product.
