I ordered this âBiodegradable All-Purpose Wipes Starter Kit – BPA free, Eco-Friendly Skin & Surface Cleaning Wipes, Plant-Based All Natural & Non-Toxic (White), from Biomâ because, honestly, who wouldnât want to use wipes of that description? I thought my evaluation would be a slam dunk. I did, however, find some problems that took the shine off the product. This review will be a bit lengthy because this is a very important subject. Hope I donât bore anyone.The creamy white refillable container for the Biom wipes is awesome. It has a smooth, cool feel to the touch which I suppose is called a matte finish, but with my eyes closed, feels similar to my hand floating on a watery surface. There are no seams on the body until the lid, which can be opened and closed silently. I heard a tiny âwhooshâ upon opening the lid every time, so there really is an âairtight seal!â The only marking, which is nearly invisible, is the brand name impressed in small letters into the lid. Itâs a very subtle and tasteful item.The wipes I received are grapefruit zest scented, which is delightful to me, except that itâs so subtle itâs barely there. I think itâs because the wipes are only a little bit moist. Of course, using ingredients to make surface cleaning and skin care wipes that are eco-friendly by being biodegradable, plant based, all natural, non-toxic, and Certified Plastic Neutral, plus allow for costs and profit, means customers must have the means and the commitment to make this choice. Itâs extremely worthwhile for all our sakes (especially if one shops around and finds refills averaging about twelve cents a sheet). Not sure they are worth it
I like the modern design of the container and the idea that it looks like the liquid on the wipes wonât evaporate quickly. The smell also isnât offensive and the wipes themselves seem pretty durable.What I donât like is the function of the dispenser. I wasted quite a few wipes trying to get the center wipe out and able to be pulled out the slot. Once I found the ârightâ wipe, I found pulling the wipes to be rather challenging.Even though I like the look of the dispenser and the durability of the wipes themselves, I will likely not purchase replacement packages when the ones I have are all used. I did like that there wasnât a sticky residue after using the wipes, but not worth the dispensing hassle.
