I had to activate the watch using its magnetic charging cable. I downloaded the Benio Fit app as instructed by the manual. Inside the app, I tapped on Device and then the large plus sign. It requested location access, which I allowed, and it immediately found my watch via Bluetooth. Once connected, the watch’s time automatically updated. The entire process took me around 4 minutes to complete.I noticed I can monitor my heart rate, sleep patterns, calories, blood oxygen levels, and track how many calories I burn during exercise or sports. I can change the background and style of the watchface through the appâs Dial center, which takes about a minute. I can even set my own picture as the background.The Benio Fit appâs interface presents all my data in a clean and simple way. Thereâs no need to search for my health tracking informationâitâs displayed on the appâs main screen as soon as I open it. The smartwatch gathers my health stats, while my phone saves the data for me to review later.I also receive notifications and can answer calls directly on the smartwatch. I can even use it to find my phone as long as itâs powered on and connected via Bluetooth. The watch alerts me when its battery is low. Nice looking, comfortable
I had to get over one of my pet peeves to review this fairly. The instruction manual that came with this is such small print that I could not read it. Okay…over it.I’m not a fashionista, but think the watch looks nice…definitely comfortable. I think it does everything I need it to. I am not a tech wiz, but I did figure out most of the functions through trial and error. It is easy to see the readings on the face of the watch. I am an older guy…but in relatively good health. I wanted two things out of this watch…I wanted it to measure my heart rate, and to measure how far I walked. I live on 40 acres, and I like to walk through the woods. I like to know how far I have walked…important as you get older. Nice to know if you are tired becasue you are getting oldeer, or tired because you walked farther than usual. I was also pleased to see this records O2…good to know as your heart gets older and maybe less efficient.I still find it a bit quirky…but that is largely due to me not being able to really read the limited instruction manual and I’ll probably get used to it. For instance, the readings don’t stay on the screen as long as I’d like them to. There is probably a way to keep the screen on for more time before it goes black…I’ll figure itout.It does measure calories, steps, distance and a few more things. I did measure steps using this watch while also using my iphone to measure steps….the results were very close. I am going to assume that this means it is farily accurate. There are also a number of different exercise modes you can use this for…If you are looking for a basic, dependable pedometer with a few nice health monitoring features…this should do nicely. You can also receive texts, and even make phone calls. A little too much like Dick Tracy for my taste…so I did not try that and can’t attest to the sound quality.Last caveat…the charger (included) is done with a magnet attachment on the back. Don’t lose it…I have dozens of charging cords, but none like this.
