Best thermal cycling tights I’ve found for the money
First off, I’ve purchased other Baleaf products and found them to be comfortable, well made, accurate to fit and, overall, a great value. I’ve also purchased other thermal cycling tights over the past three years (a few different manufacturers, including Pearl Izumi). Most work OK so far as padding for comfort on the saddle, but I’ve been disappointed with fit and a tendency among many to “sag” and then catch on the saddle as I’m getting on or off of the bike, inadequate insulation for days when it’s cold (pretty much anything mid-50’s or below), frustrations with whether there is a way to make sure the tights stay put or have drawstrings or zippers that don’t work properly or jam. These Baleaf tights address all these issues nicely. They’re accurate to fit (I’m about 5’11”, 190-200 lbs, lean weight, and the “XL” size is about perfect for me). The inside lining is cozy and warm but not too hot, the zipper to snug up the ankle end of the tights works smoothly and provides nice insulation and protection against water/mud, and the drawstring at the waist is simple, well made and it works without a problem. These are “water resistant”, so I don’t know if you’d be OK in heavy rain, but I’ve found they are totally adequate in drizzly / splashy conditions. They fit nicely all around, don’t sag, and maybe most important, I’ve found them extremely comfortable on rides of 25-35 miles. No “pressure points” or places that rub or bug me. And, for the price, it would be tough to find a better value. Want to mention that the color options are cool. I have the black with blue accents…several folks have commented that they’re understated and classy. I’d definitely buy these again!

comfortable and fits well, less wind block at pelvis
I really like the warmth of these tights. winters here range 15 – 55° f typically and these did well in low 40s. the area around the pelvis doesn’t stay very warm though, but I think this can be addressed with base layer type boxers.aside from a cold crotch the material on the legs feels soft and warm, I prefer ankle zips so those work for me, and the density of the padding works well.I’ve only worn them on 3 rides so far, so I’m not sure about the durability of the padding and material.I would prefer the pockets to be lower like typical brands (they press against your hips, doesn’t feel as secure since they rotate).

Warm & Comfy
I wear these while mountain biking in the cold winter months. They maintain heat and keep me warm. They are also very comfortable.

Size Chart Waist Measurement Most Helpful for Me
Quality great. The thermal lining is sorta subtle, but there, kinda feels like a thin layer of black felt.Overall they felt a bit tighter than some other tights I’ve worn, without the seat cushioning. E.g. tight at the bottom near the foot (tapered). Have not taken them on a cold ride yet.Typically wear medium to large sweats (I’m about 5-10-1/2″, 166 lbs.). First, ordered large–but it seemed tight all over especially in the waist. And then ordered XL (so I could compare both side by side) and found that it felt very similar to Large, except there was a bit of extra space/comfort in the waist. The size chart had my waist size in the XL category. With both the large and XL here at home, went back and forth and back and forth trying them both on. It was kinda like deciding on a pair of shoes that is 1/2 size different (back and forth and back and forth). The length did not seem too different, but I felt it more in the waist. So if I were choosing the size all over again, I’d focus most on the waist size in the Size Chart. Lengths are pretty similar.
This thing is perfect. Fits very snugly, small enough to fit nicely next to a MacBook Air. 5 stars. –

Perfect Fit
All my summer bicycle wear is Baleaf and for good reason……..top quality gear at a reasonable price. I needed a cold weather riding tights. Ordered it and was delivered promptly. Wore it today. Was a typical breezy overcast chilly Iowa fall day. My legs were nice and warm.I’m 6′ 175 and ordered a large. The material in the biking tights are soft yet durable and fit perfectly. The tights are stylish and define the legs well. The padding in the seat like all Baleaf bike padding is outstanding. Legs taper comfortably close at the ankle but have zippers to help get your foot in and out of the tight fitting legs. I very much enjoyed riding in these winter tights from Baleaf. I would highly recommend.

Warm and Comfortable
Wore these a couple of times in 50 degree weather while out bike riding and they kept me warm and comfortable. The seat padding is sufficient for me (195 lbs) to be comfortable on the saddle while riding. Definitely recommend.
