Worth the money
I have colored fine hair that is a little past shoulder length. My old flat iron just died on me. It was a cheap Remington, but that thing lasted for seven years. My hairdresser talked me into buying the Babyliss flat iron. The reviews were mixed and it was $130. I was really skeptical that it was worth the money, but was comforted by the fact I could always return it if I wasnât happy. Well, Iâm keeping it. I love it! I donât even mind how they do the temperature controls and that itâs not digital. You just read the directions, set your appropriate temperature for your hair, and leave it on that setting. Easy. As for how it performs, it blows my old flat iron away. It takes about 30 seconds to heat up and youâre ready to go. I do my hair in sections and it only takes me about five minutes to finish. I do use Pureology color fanatic 21 leave in conditioner and Living Proof 5 in 1 styling cream in my hair to blow dry and straighten. This iron gets hot. Use a heat protectant. As long as your are careful and keep your hand away from the plates, you donât need a glove in my opinion. The iron glided easily over each section of hair, and I only had to do one pass each time. It was smooth and no snagging like some people mentioned in their reviews. The plates gripped my hair with no problem too. I do have fine hair, but this wasnât a problem either. My hair was smooth and straight with one pass whereas my old iron took several. Iâm hoping that means less damage over time. All in all, Iâm very happy with this flat iron and donât regret spending the money. You get what you pay for usually. I really debated buying the $40 Conair titanium flat iron, but I feel I made the right decision. Only time will tell, because several reviews mentioned that theirs stopped working after a couple of months. I really hope theyâve fixed this problem. It says it has a four year limited warranty, but Iâm not sure how you would go about using it if you needed to do so.Also, I just have to mention how pretty it is. I love the blue color. Of course, this has nothing to do with its functionality.

Worth the price. With other straighteners I’ve used (cheapest one at the store), my hair would practically start curling at the ends w/in the hour. So I started reading reviews on the MANY flat irons out there. I tried a chi but it didn’t have temp control (set at ~425 degrees I think) and that was literally burning my hair. It did straigten but hair seemed stiff.So after reading the wonderful reviews on this, I purchased it through Amazon and I love it! I don’t even have to blow dry my hair (unless I’m looking for extra volume). I just let it dry naturally and usually only have to go through each section once. I use it at the lowest temp which is 300 degrees which works great for me and it takes less than 10 min. It stays straight for most of the day and leaves my hair looking shiny. This isn’t super thin but by no means bulky and it heats up fast. I’m so relieved to finally find something that works well for my hair!*** UPDATE***:About 3 weeks into using this something went wrong with the circuitry and it literally burned off a chunk of hair! Since I’d never heard of anything like that happening in the hundreds of reviews I’d read, I know something must have gone wrong w/ my unit. So I returned it with no problems.Now instead of ordering the same thing again, I decided to get the 1″ unit (BaByliss Pro BABNT3072 Nano Titanium-Plated Ultra-Thin Straightening Iron, 1 Inch) instead b/c I figured it would be less bulky and I could use it as a curler too. Unfortunately, the 1″ unit did not work as well as this one. It straightened my hair but I had to go over sections a couple of times and it didn’t keep my hair straight for as long. It also didn’t feel like the plates went through my hair as smoothly. I don’t know if I didn’t adjust the temp right but I just couldn’t get it to mimic the results I had with the original iron so I returned that one too.I’m gonna research a little more but I think I’ll probably purchase the original one again. Hopefully my incident was just a fluke.

This is the best flat iron I have ever used! My hairstylist has this flat iron. I could not believe how quickly she could straighten my hair. My hair is naturally very thick, wavy with a little curl, and past my shoulders. Anyway, I was looking for a good flat iron to replace my ceramic Jilbere flat iron. It was taking me forever to straighten my hair, and I was easily getting split ends when I used it. I had researched the Instyler but found a lot of mixed reviews. Plus- I still have a scar on my arm from when my friend’s Instyler burned me. Ouch! Plus- it was pretty expensive. My hairstylist always talked about how her Babyliss cost around $150. I could never bring myself to pay that much for a flat iron. Thank God for Amazon! I got the Babyliss 1 inch for $68.00! I could not believe it! I received this 3 days before the estimated delivery date. It was amazing. I straightened my hair in about 15 minutes. Usually it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to do my hair. I think it took me about 15 minutes because I was trying to figure out the right heat setting to use. I love how wide the plates are. My hair doesn’t fall out, and I can take thicker sections. My hair looks so shiny! In one or two swipes my hair was smooth and silky. My hair stayed straight for two days afterwards. I had to touch it up (which took about 3 or 4 minutes) but only because I took a bath and got my hair alittle wet in some places. I also curled my daughter’s hair in about 2 minutes. The curls came out beautiful and were very easy to do. Her hair is straight and very fine. I am so happy that I have a salon-quality flat iron that comes with a 4 year warranty. You really cannot beat this. Merry Christmas to me! 🙂

I got the 1.5 inch. I like them smaller. This is perfect size. Get very hot quick and light weight. Easy to use and maneuver. My hair doesnât stick to anything or gets pulled. No static. Love it!

Se descompuso la plancha anterior que tenÃa, que es exactamente este mismo modelo, la cual tenÃa desde hace 12 AÃOS!!, sin duda la volvà a comprar porque se que es una plancha duradera, calienta súper bien, te alacia el pelo, lo ondula y si tienes el cabello rebelde esta es tu mejor opción de plancha porque los peinados te pueden DURAR DIASSS si asà lo quieres, la recomiendo demasiado â¤ï¸ me encanta!!
