Great for Productivity
I recently purchased the Digital Kitchen Timer with a large LED display, and I have to say, it has been a game-changer for my productivity! I primarily use it on my desk to implement the Pomodoro timer method, and it has made a noticeable difference in how focused and efficient I am during work or study sessions.The standout feature of this timer is its large LED display, which is incredibly easy to read, even from a distance. This makes it perfect for those moments when I’m engrossed in my work and need to check how much time is left on my session without interrupting my flow. The numbers are clear and crisp, and the countdown/countup is easy to follow.One of the few downsides I’ve encountered is that it can be a little tricky to adjust the timer while it’s sitting on my desk. The dial is a bit stiff, and you might need to pick it up to spin it to the desired time. It’s a minor inconvenience, but something to be aware of if you plan to use it in a stationary position regularly.However, aside from that minor issue, I couldn’t be happier with this timer. Its sleek silver design adds a touch of elegance to my workspace, and the magnetic back allows me to attach it to my whiteboard or fridge, giving me the flexibility to use it wherever I need it most.One of the best aspects of this timer is its versatility. It’s a great timer! Easy to use, and easy to read even across the room, and the magnet is very convenient. Three volume levels, loud, mid, and silent.My only complaint, and I’m being nit-picky here, I wish it were more bottom-heavy so you could set it on the edge and it wouldn’t roll. The timer is ever so slightly top heavy, so it will roll over and come to rest almost perfectly upside down. 🙃

Doesn’t work consistently
A timer should be fairly simple to use. After all, its job is a simple one. Count down a certain number of seconds and hopefully sound an alarm. This timer is just wacky enough not to do any of these things well.First, the button. The button sometimes works and sometimes it does not work. Clicking anywhere on the face of the timer produces a tacticle clicking sound and feel. Does this mean one can click anywhere and produce an action? It is hard to tell. There is a circle that is supposed to function as a button but it is simply a painted circle. The entire timer is the button. Clicking the button will sometimes stop the timer. Sometimes it does nothing. Sometimes it wakes the timer up and sometimes it does not. Pressing the button for a long period of time should reset the timer. Other times the timer simply goes dark indicating you have not pressed the button, even though you are pressing it. Then you realize the button isn’t actually working and you press it again to turn the timer on, which may not work, then finally try again to reset it. Very tiring.Second, the ring. Turning the ring simply increases the seconds (in multiples of five) for the timer. Except sometimes it does not. Sometimes it increases the minutes. How does one tell which will be increased, minutes or seconds? The manual says “rotate rapidly and assure the rotate angle is greater than 60 degrees”! If that sounds a bit confusing, well it is just as confusing to try and put into practice.Last the timer has a plastic type cheapy feel to it and the ring is loose and doesn’t have any heft to assist with rotating it to the right time.Can the timer be made to work – sure. But it is a tiring process that should be much simpler.

As for the device, super easy to use, looks nice, it’s magnetic on the back so it sticks to most things, and yah.. works really well. Love the simplicity. Either it rings or itll be silent. Up to you. It does the job.As for me.. Absolutely lack any understanding of what time is or what it means. Can’t be poor time management, it’s too limiting. How much time is time? None of it makes any sense to me. So i’ll be using this a pomodoro timer. I get the clock and its numbers and what it means but physically, internally, physiologically, all other’cally’s… what is 30 minutes from now? Or being at a certain place at a certain time? Hopefully this allows me to quite literally and physically understand what time is. Like my body understanding how to balance but the same for time.Currently leaving the timer at 5 minutes and it beeps every 5 minutes, take a mental pause to regroup and see wtf i did in the last 5 minutes.. was i productive? Wasteful? Or on planet 9?
