Well Designed
We love this new cat feeder! Easy to program, and once programed it remembers your settings unless you turn it off, with the switch, underneath the unit. Our cat loves it and is not afraid to eat from it. It seems to hold a charge for over 3 weeks. We started using it 20 days ago and still has not indicated needing charging. It is well designed by the way all the parts fit together. I would highly recommend it. It makes a little beep when the next meal is ready after rotating. That tells the pet that it is ready. They soon realize it means, “Let’s Eat!”

Works well, but not quite as advertised
This works pretty much as described, with the exception that it does not keep food cold for 24 hours. Overall I think this is a well made device so, even though it did not meet my needs, I still gave it 4 stars. Iâve written what I think are the strengths and weaknesses of this design, from my perspective.Strengths-Reliable – itâs easy to program and the programming works on time.-Battery life – I only used it for 10 days but there were no issues and I think it would easily last a month. -Itâs wonderful that it doesnât have to be near a power source.-So quiet! Only one unintrusive beep when the tray rotates. Otherwise, itâs silent.-Easy to clean.Weaknesses-Icepacks donât last 24 hours, even when fully frozen to start with, in a cool climate on a cool day with an indoor temp of 65F and food that has been stored in the fridge before putting it in the food tray. At best they lasted 12 hrs.-2 icepacks is too few. You need one set in the freezer while the other is in the device – it should come with at least 4.-The beep telling the cat to come eat is too quiet and nearly identical to the beep that my oven timer makes. My cat is well accustomed to ignoring this noise. She woke me up each morning and would not go and eat until I walked in and showed her the food was there. I thought sheâd get used to it after a few days but she didnât.-Lastly, the âstainless steelâ smells when there is moisture in it. Her food does not smell like that in her ceramic dish. However, in this tray, it smells distinctly of a wet dog after an hour or so. Pretty gross smelling.I wanted a wet food auto feeder for 2 reasons. 1) to feed my cat in the morning without being woken up early and 2) to be able to leave her for 1-2 nights occasionally with reliable wet food feedings without having to get a cat sitter. I put just as much effort into feeding her with this feeder as I did before with a simple ceramic dish and definitely could not leave her overnight with it, due to the food temp issue.I think this device would be great for someone who just has long work days out of the house and/or truly needs to feed their cat wet food 6x/day. I wouldnât get this feeder if they have whisker sensitivity – itâs pretty deep and narrow. This isnât an issue for my cat but it is for some.

Game changer!!!
My cat has to eat wet food 2 times a day and I would have to rely on someone stopping over to feed him, even if I just couldnât get home on time in the evening. I got this initially to use while I was gone for a few days but it has become a daily use tool now. Holds the charge incredibly well! I have used consistently for a month and havenât had to charge it. However, the ice packs donât stay cold for more than 12 hours so I would recommend freezing the wet food beforehand if youâre going to use it without switching the ice pack for more than 1 day. I put food in 2 slots and only use the ice pack on the right side. Then in the morning after he has eaten a meal I switch out the ice packs so the food stays good until the evening if Iâm not home. But I freeze food if I am leaving for over a day. Hope this helps! Definitely buy this if your fur baby has a wet food only diet!

Not for Multiple Days
The feeder worked easily. Make sure the food doesn’t go past the top of the tray. Problem is, I need it for a multi-day wet food feeding – the freezer packets don’t last more than a few hours. Great for dry food feeding though.

Good looking, reliable and easy to clean. Pippin likes it too! I purchased an additional set of ice packs to have one ready at all times and got a pedestal so that the machine sits as high as his regular food bowls. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend!

I could not get the feeding timer to work. Donât have time to trouble shoot any more. They may have replaced it but am gun shy on having to deal with it again.
