We have tried a few cheaper monitors and have been disappointed or frustrated with all of them. This one has been the best one we’ve had so far.First off, it has the monitor screen and Wi-Fi connection, so you can view the camera feed on your phone. I didn’t think I would need the Wi-Fi feature, but after having a monitor with it for a while, I realized how convenient it is to have as an option. We use the handheld device most of the time, but it is nice to be able to check the camera from anywhere, especially if we have a babysitter or are away from the house.The screen is clear and crisp, and the night vision is better than most models we have used. Also, the little bunny ears can be removed. I didn’t like that look and I’m glad it’s optional.There are a lot of features we don’t use, like motion tracking, music, night light, and cry alert, but they could be useful. Our kids’ room is right up the stairs from our room, so if he cries, we hear it without the monitor.One feature we have started using all the time is the microphone to talk through the monitor. This has saved us many trips up to our sonâs bed to get him back to sleep in the middle of the night. We have found that if he wakes up, just hearing our voice is enough to calm his nerves and soothe him.The only issue I have so far is that the temperature reading is a few degrees high. We have temp sensors in his room that are connected to a very nice smart thermostat, and the monitor always reads higher.Overall, this is not the cheapest monitor, but after spending at least this much on multiple cheap ones, I wish I had just spent the money upfront. I would definitely buy this monitor from Arenti again.

Controls can be difficult if you don’t realize you select the camera first on the settings menu, then adjust the setting for each camera separately.Final thoughtsThis is a good quality camera with a lot of features, all done pretty well. We are currently using it as our monitor as it has the best combination of features — it basically has and does everything. I highly recommend it!
