We have 3 cats and 2 dogs. There are doors in our house that are closed at certain points of the day, the cats don’t tend to like it and claw at the carpet around the door jams! Iâve purchased these rolls four times now. They are great! My couch is a large soft, textured fabric. The cover is clear and not too shiny so it blends in when applied. The cover sticks well on its own and does not need any extra tape or screws. It does a great job of protecting the fabric from catâs claws and bonus, kids with markers. Overtime my cat has punctured the cover when trying to scratch on the couch so Iâve replaced pieces of the cover as needed, but if my cat hadnât scratched it, I wouldnât have needed to replace because it stays sticky. Cats still take their claws on it, but it does help mitigate damage.Iâve had it on for about 4 months, and the adhesive is starting to fail and peel.Also, this stuff is not stretchy at all. If anything presses up against it where the backing material has a lot of give, it tears and peels away.

This product is great for keeping my furniture safe from my catâs claws. I decided to remove it after 8 months because it had turned yellow and brittle. BUT peeling it off really took a toll on the Jacquard upholstery fabric on my dining room chairs and sofa. I decided to remove it after 8 months because it had yellowed and become extremely brittle. As you can see in my photo the adhesive took off the top of the jacquard fabric and in addition pulled out multiple threads. From now on Iâll be using towels to protect the furniture, it may be unattractive on a daily basis, but obviously is easily removed when company comes over and therefore wonât ruin anything!
