Surprisingly good.
This holds a charge for many months and charges my iPhone fairly quickly. Not as fast as a wall plug, but pretty good. What I like best, is how long it holds a charge. It always charges my phone when I need it.

Easy to use, powerful and dependable.
I bought this for recharging my phone and GPS while backpacking, a situation where equipment dependability can save your life. I read a lot of reviews on backpacking sites and this brand was much preferred over other brands. I had been using a battery bank with replaceable batteries which seemed like a good idea, but the batteries would get jostled away from the contacts, charging was slow, and capacity was limited. This bank charges my iPhone and other devices quicker, and has a very good capacity to weight ratio. It has been very dependable so far. The size and shape is easy to carry.

What a lifesaver!
I bought this thing a little while ago now and hadn’t yet run into a moment where I had to use it, but I’m thankful to have bought it when I finally needed it. It takes a while to charge the first time, but it holds that charge for a long time. It’s super portable and makes it easy to just put it in your purse or bag plugged into your phone and forget about it. A little heavy and roughly the size of my phone (Galaxy Note 9 for reference). It feels solidly constructed. It doesn’t support fast charging, but it’s not slow either. I highly recommend this, especially for people with older phones, students, and travelers. Even if that isn’t you, it’s great in case of an emergency or power outage because of how long it stays charged.

Quality
It works great came a little charged. It’s light weight, easy to charge. It keeps a charge for about 3 hrs depending on how you are using it. Very durable and thin. Don’t know magnet strength.
Update on 10-29-24. I’ve noticed its either getting hot inside or timing out after 30 mins on my eletric camping chair

Questionable Quality Control before shipping but Great Customer Service by Anker!
I’m updating my original review (with 3 Stars). After writing the review, I contacted Anker Customer Service to explain the situation. Erin, CSR, who took the call, asked a few questions assessed the situation, and asked me for the SL No. of the Power Bank, and within a couple of hours or so, she placed an order for a new Power Bank shipped to me which arrived the very next day. This time around, the package had everything including a USB cable, a USB C to C cable at that! Thank you Erin! I have changed my rating from 3 Stars to 5 Stars for the superb Customer Service!
Original Review:
Received brand new Anker Powercore Slim 1000 just yesterday. It is supposed to come with a Charging Cable, Welcome Kit, 18 month Warranty Certificate, and “friendly customer service “.
All I found inside the box was the Power Bank and a safety information booklet. No Welcome letter, no instructions, no warranty information, and no USB cable.
I’m sure when I call them tomorrow, they will tell me they’re sorry for the inconvenience, and will ship me a useless Micro USB Cable which no one uses anymore.
As regards Charging the Power Bank, it came with just 2 lights on (indicator lights). No percentage of charge information.
Anyway, I charged it using a USB C Charger-AC Plug-in, with a USB C to USB C Cable. Supposed to fast charge in this configuration. It took more than 4 hours for the remaining 3 lights to light up and steady (full charge).
Overall, Very disappointing. Charger looks sturdy but a bit on the heavier side and I can hardly call it slim. I wouldn’t be able to put in my pocket and forget it. It does noticeably sag the pocket.
Overall, at the first glance and use, it has been disappointing. Considering it is the first day of use, so generously giving it the benefit of the doubt, I could only give it 3 Stars.

Puts charge into my S8 quickly
I bought this a few months ago as ’emergency backup’, if I happened to be away from a charging source (so, not in a building or car; generally for camping and the like). The battery in my Galaxy S8 has degraded over time, and I wasn’t ready to get spendy on a new phone, nor did I look forward to ‘cell phone surgery’ to replace the battery (the days of popping off the case back and swapping out in a minute or two are long gone, sad to say). So I ordered this up. At 10,000 mAh, I figured I should get enough charge to get me through a jam.
If you’re thinking… “S8! That’s a dinosaur!” — you’re likely rocking something much more current, and aren’t worried about off-grid power. Yet. But remember — all batteries degrade with time.
After having used it… my thoughts
– Takes a bit to charge up, once discharged (so once you’ve discharged, plan ahead). Especially the first time.
– However, once it’s charged up, the self-discharge rate is slow, so you don’t have to constantly keep it plugged into a wall wart, etc. You can charge this up, once conditioned, and pack it away for a few weeks to a few months.
– The 4 LED meters on the front are handy for determining SoC / Time to Charge
– Form factor on this is very similar to the dimensions on my S8 (although a little thicker, and of course, heavier)
– A shorter USB A <> USB-C cable does double duty — USB A to bring the charge to the phone / device via USB-C, then remove & flip USB-C into the input of the Anker, while plugging the ‘A’ end into any compatible port to recharge it.
– Comes with a black cloth bag with drawstring closure, which is nice to keep that short USB cable together with the device. Nothing fancy, but useful.
– And probably the best, after using Qi-Wireless for 90% of the time over the life of the G8 — this thing puts juice into the phone, quickly. I can go from 5-15% charge to 30% in under 30min. Not sure how many amps it’s charging at (rated at ‘up to 12’ -?), but it’s definitely quick. If you’re caught somewhere without power (or even if you’re not) — this device is a lifesaver (figuratively & perhaps literally, I guess).
Technically, I guess you’re not supposed to use the phone while charging with a power bank, but it comes in handy for those times where you need to use the phone a little longer, but need a little juice to tide you over (it juices the phone so fast–especially vs. Qi-wireless–that you say “I might as well just keep it hooked up to this)). I think it’ll charge close to 100% in about 90 minutes, maybe less.
– Since my G8 battery is ~ 3800 mAh (?), I can get up to two full charges out of this thing, or many ‘partial’ charges. From full, 30 minutes’ time on the G8 doesn’t even remove one ‘dot’ from the 4-light meter. This is real value, in my book. Because most of the time, I can get back to a power source in 30min or so.
So… for what I’m using it for, which is to buy time until I decide to finally (!) upgrade my phone, and keep the S8 running a little while longer… it’s an excellent accessory, from a trusted company. Since this has been out a while, and been superseded by higher-cap devices, solar-capable chargers, etc. — it’s also cheap — about the cost of one of those replacement battery kits (with batteries that came from who knows where).
Not often I unequivocally give the full 5-stars… but this product gets them from me. Recommended.
(oh, and mine came new in a box, so if yours doesn’t… get in touch with Anker for a new replacement)

Everything about this power bank is really good! We were going camping and I needed something to charge my phone, so I bought this to have some kind of power and its been really good!
There is a button to check the charge, which makes it useful to see how much is left, good sized battery, super light weight!
The only problem with this is that you need a regular USB for the output, etc. Would have been nice if it also came with a USB-C output since a lot more cables are now USB-C to USB-C now.
But other than that this power bank is really good! Definitely recommend!
(Update, July 7th 2024)
I got a new job which is construction, and I had bought a new Bluetooth speaker to listen to music while at work, so I decided to dig out the battery pack to use while out and let me tell you, this battery pack is insane, I had not used it since we went camping and it held its charge for almost a whole year, and then lasted almost 3 and a half days of on and off charging with my speaker, insanely good battery pack, and I bought it used too, honestly, this might be the best battery pack ever!

I bought this portable charger for my travels.
Itâs slim and compact. Looks good. Quality does not feel cheap. Charges my iPhone fairly quick.
Good to have while your travelling. I like it.
Downside: It has two input ports for charging the actual device itself and only ONE output for charging your personal device like your iPhone/tablet/earphones etc. I personally would rather have one USB port to charge the portable charger itself and then have two output ports for charging multiple devices (ex: your iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time). But thatâs my opinion and user feedback. Wireless charging would also be a cool feature to have too. Overall itâs a good compacted portable charger that gets the job done. I also donât feel like the batter is significantly drained after charging my device(s). I used the portable charger this afternoon to briefly charge my iPhone. Iâm currently charging my Apple Watch from approx. 11% to 100% and then about to charge my iPhone again (<20%) and the portable charger looks like it still has a full-charge.

The Anker Power Bank 10000mAh has proven to be a reliable companion for my daily charging needs. Its slim and lightweight design makes it incredibly portable, effortlessly slipping into my pocket or bag without adding unnecessary bulk. The sleek aesthetic is a bonus, giving it a modern and premium feel.
The 10,000mAh battery size ensures that I have ample power to keep my devices charged throughout the day, and at this price point, it’s excellent value for money. The convenience factor cannot be overstated, making it a go-to solution for those who are always on the move.
While it doesn’t support fast charging, the PowerIQ and VoltageBoost technologies deliver a reasonably swift and efficient charge. It’s a small trade-off for the affordability and portability it offers. The absence of multiple outputs and additional features like a flashlight may be a drawback for some, but for me, the core functionality is what matters most.
Despite its limitations, the Anker Power Bank 10000mAh stands out for its reliability, solid build, and overall performance. It may lack some bells and whistles, but for those seeking a straightforward, dependable power solution, this Anker model is a commendable choice. It has certainly earned its place in my tech arsenal, providing a convenient and efficient charging solution on the go.
If you have a slightly bigger budget id recommend the 20kmAh Anker portable charger as it can charge multiple devices at has fast charge capabilities. Working in tech it does hold more benefits for myself, however for the average joe I highly recommend this product.
