I still have my Andis 2 speed clippers, and they work well. It was recommended that I upgrade to the Andis 5 speed because it will: cut thru matting easier, lightweight, more ergonomic (less hand strain), and higher speed makes for a cleaner cut. Yes, these 4 points proved accurate. They are good clippers and I am pleased with how they feel and work. Would I buy them again? Yes, when the time comes – but hopefully that won’t be for a while. Until then, bring on the pups!

Great size and quiet
Andis products are just the best quality of any clippers Iâve used. Itâs powerful to cut through my Shih Tzus thick coat and offers two speeds for stubborn mats. Slender, comfortable in my hand. Blade does get hot so it help to have more than one so you can change them. I also use a cooling spray which works well too.

Loud, overheat, brakes down very quickly
I do professional grooming and purchased this machine bc my boss has the same clippers she bought two years ago and she loves it and works well ever since. HOWEVER, Something has changed with the production ever since as the machine(body of the machine not the blade) after 15mins using is so hot i could cook an egg on it. I switched blades over but still the machine itself is constantly overheating. Also the machine is extremely loud, loud to a point that i was suspicious something is deeply wrong with it. I purchased this machine 2 times and had the same issue with it. The first machine i cant return bc i missed the returning window and i wanted to give it a try for what if i got a bad machine at first, so the second machine i received was doing the same exact thing. Extremely loud and is extremely overheating. I highly suggest not to buy this product even if you are not a professional groomer as it will brake down due to overheating in a few months and you just wasted your money. I was able to return my second machine but the first i couldn’t. Im very disappointed and wont ever purchase any andis products. I would do 0 stars if i could. Not fair they know how bad the machine is and they only allow a month return.

Good for Goldens
I have 7 Goldens and I use these for trimming them up, getting out knots, etc. They do get hot after 20 minutes or so, but they keep cutting, unlike most every other trimmer I’ve had.

The blade cover pops off
Works fine other than my blades run a little hotter than my old one. The blade drive cover pops off also which is annoying.

They work great! I purchased extra blades and used the longest I had. 3 3/4th. If you want anything longer then I suggest a gaurd. I ordered them after. But too late. First pass came off like a hot knife through butter. The clippers worked amazing. But now i have to wait for him to grow back out lolI’ll make sure to use my metal length gaurds next time. ð

So, I have a standard poodle boy, who is almost 11 months old. I do all his grooming myself, instead of taking him to a groomer every month. His coat change was horrific. We had gone through 3 70 dollar Whal buzzers and not even a quarter way through his body (with even a close shave at one point) they would break! I got so they up and eventually threw out my 3rd one (I had my second replaced and bought my third).Apon having to actually find a proper clipper set, I talked to a poodle groomer, she told me about these. Apon reading the horrible views first and work my way up, I was extreamly skeptical.i was afraid of them not getting through his coat. (Even human clippers can’t even clip a strand of his hair) Being on a tight budget I can’t play around. So, I ordered it, as well as every size under the sun for attachments (all the way to AF blades) I can tell you, when I put my boy on the grooming table I had just bought on Amazon, he didn’t become as skittish with this blade. I did his face first. It took a bit to get used to the size and lightness of the clippers. It was quit compared to the loud Whal ones we where used too. Being corded was also no issue, as the cord is EXTREAMLY long and doesn’t get tangled around him or I.It cleaned his face perfectly with a #4 blade. #10 didn’t get as short as I like for face and feet. He actually didn’t mind me cleaning his feet! He always had given me trouble in the past. It normally took me an hour to do his feet. (Frew minute breaks and treats in between) with these, he let me do half a paw before needing his break and treats! He didn’t really fight me with his front paws! His back ones took a tad longer (5-10 minutes on each) but that was a lot shorter than normal!I also went over his body with a 13mm blade, just to see how it run through his fur (I shaved him down back in December so it was a tiny bit longer than the blade, and my longer blades I ordered have yet to arrive) and they went through his fur like butter! Changing the blades took a hot minute for me to figure out. The directions where simple, but with my disability it was hard for me to actually know what’s being asked. I had to resort to YouTube. I love how they just pop out, and you can clean out your clippers at the same time! No more screwing and un screwing screws and coaxing pieces into getter. This is so much simpler than the Whal brand I was dealing with!Now for the blades, they do get quite hot pretty fast, but I was already aware of this, thanks to the bad reviews already made. But when I felt the #4 get warm I just shut off the clippers, gave him a break and offered some treats for being so amazing. Not even 2 minutes they where cool again (my house is pretty cool between 60-63 F)I find with the longer AF blades they didn’t even get hot! The clippers did, but the blade did not! So, I am curious to see if the longer blades work the same!Thank you so much for such an amazing product! I am so glad I finally found something affordable and not 500 plus dollars, that I can clip my boy with!

He comprado varias rasuradoras y está me encantó casi no hace ruido, corta súper bien el pelito de mis perros. Tengo 3 schnauzers y fue muy fácil su corte. Solo tengo 1 pero y es que se calienta mucho la cuchilla después de 20 minutos aproximadamente, no tengo el enfriador asà que tengo que hacer un apausa y seguir para no quemar a mis perritos, aún asà me gusta mucho.

Iâm the biggest fan of these 5-speed clippers, I also imported some of them from the USA.I do had a 220V machine but this one is a 110V.For me not a problem I have my transformers but might be important to inform everybody that this is not a European model.But besides this, the best very best clipper ever!If you need a transformer it must be at least 100W

Not only is the colour beautiful but it’s fairly quiet, lightweight, easy to hold and maneuver, and the 5 speeds makes for better customization and efficiency. The long chord is really nice too. I recommend it.
