Solid and easy to use
So the set up was amazingly fasy. It has anti slip strips and two notchrs in the back to hang on a wall. The device is very sleek if you can call office beige sleek and the little green lights are not intrusive.But….it doesn’t like my fans, actually two fans.I have a remote controlled fan and and this Alexa smart power strip. The power strip lights up and Alexa will power off my fan on command. However, on the start command the proper light powers on but the fan doesn’t start. I have to press the power button on the fan.Before installing the power strip the remote worked fine. I can even use the remote if the power strip is actively on.Why doesn’t the power strip activate the fans?Shutting the plug power off seems to do a hard shut off on the fan

I love that I can turn certain plugs on/off on the strip and that I can control it through Alexa.I don’t like that the USB ports can’t be controlled separately and that there is not a ‘c type’ that is so popular on the cords now.

Good When It Responds
I like that you can rename each of the 3 smart outlets when setting up this power strip in Alexa and add plugs that control lights into your lighting set-ups. I like the ability to easily switch off the entire strip or each individual outlet to save energy â just know the strip/outlet has to be manually turned on again because Alexa canât find it otherwise. The two USB outlets on the end are handy.Like many other smart devices that connect to your wi-fi, there are bound to be connection problems and they wonât respond to Alexa. Donât rush to remove and reset the strip all over again the first time it happens â usually if you try again 5 or 10 minutes later, itâs back online and responds. Itâs not ideal but it works most of the time.Also note the cord length. It worked well where I set it up but if you need the strip to be more than 2 feet from the outlet, this might not work.
