Does it have a balanced breakfast featuring Post honeycomb cereal each morning? But can it absorb âodors, vapors, and gasses from things like smoke, cooking, and chemicalsâ? Yes and no. Odors, smoke, and some chemicals are particulate matter that can be carried within a gas. Vapors are gasses and no filter can remove them unless it converts them back to liquids or solids. Cooking is a verb – but let’s just pretend they meant the odors created during cooking.But thereâs some real pseudoscience elsewhere in this description. They claim to âremove 99.97% of dust, pollen, mold, bacteria, viruses, and any airborne particles in the room with a minimum particle penetration size of 100 nanometers.â OK, so it removes 99.97% (or if you scroll down, 99.999% – but whoâs counting?) of particles 100nm or bigger.
