Clean air and a humidifier
This is amazing. We have it in our bedroom where our golden retriever spends most of her time. Breathing is so much easier! And the humidifier helps with the dry heat! We bought a larger unit for downstairs! Highly recommend

decent passive humidifier but not sure if the air filter is doing anything
the main reason we purchased this device was for the stack on top humidifier, which works really great. paired with a hygrometer it easily raised the humidity level in our living room by 10% or more most days in the winter. it goes through alot of water which is not a problem for us; makes us feel like it is really working with the fan blowing through the filter pleats.however not sure how well the air filter part on the bottom is working. we have a dog that is constantly shedding hair and dander but the filter always looks spotless inside when we check it every month. the “dirty air sensor” has never gone red except when we are cooking lots of bacon in the kitchen.

Works great, until it doesnât work
Bought this last winter and loved it. Worked well and was super happy with the purchaseâin the winter I was using the humidifier and air purifier. Come spring I decided to only use the air purifier, and now that Iâve taken the humidifier out again (all filters replaced), no vapor comes out. Iâm disappointed itâs no longer working after one season.

ORB 2-in-1 Air Purifier and Humidifier offers two essential, helpful benefits for allergy sufferers: an Air Cleaner for removing dust, pollen, dander, and pollution; and an Evaporative Humidifier, which is beneficial for two reasons: there is no water damage or staining/ residue from the mist, and there are no moving parts, so you don’t have to protect the humidifier by using distilled water, purified is adequate, therefore, the humidifier can run dry without damage.It has been so beneficial for me since I’m fighting cancer, and the side effects have weakened my immune system; even my typical allergy symptoms are multiplied in severity. The ORB has a sleep mode that is quieter than the background noise I hear every night, and I find it quite soothing and so quiet that the humidifier would be perfect in a nursery. The best thing about the 0.5 gal humidifier is that it’s almost spill-proof because the water reservoir can be removed from the purifier unit.Unfortunately, as of right now, there are no replacement filters available. I plan on making a few attempts to DEEP-Sanitize the filters, however, the instruction manual states that the air purifier filter can be cleaned by rinsing it in clear water and then drying it in sunlight, (so UV light.) The manual also gives care instructions for the humidifier filter: keep dry when the humidifier section is not in use, rinse and let dry, and replace roughly every 3 – 6 months; since this is a wicking filter, it may experience mold and bacteria growth, even if kept dry, as well as wear.Once I have some results on sanitizing the two filters, I’ll post updates ASAP.The Bottom Line: ORB’s 3-Stage Air Cleaner is possibly one of the best things I’ve ever gotten for my health, (that doesn’t cost $13,000/per week (*weeps in deep US healthcare sobs*)) and at only $137.99 and the possibility of sanitizing at least the air purifier filter, I deem this the most cost-effective, quiet 2 in 1 Air Purifier and Humidifier I’ve seen on the market.
