Entertainment for the wee ones and sense of safety for Mama Bear
These lights were purchased for night time bike riding in a yard. For our purpose, these lights were just the thing for a little extra outside play heading into summer. I enjoy the fact that I can easily see my children ride their bikes across the yard. The children love the fact they are super bright and just cool. It is a huge plus to find another way to spice up outdoor play to keep my children active and entertained while gaining adequate exercise throughout the year. The quality of the lights are good and the brightness is superb. For a little time line these lights were in Easter baskets 2022. Even though it has been just over a month the children have not gotten bored from seeing these amazing lights during their nightly adventures.

We purchased 2 strands each of the pink, blue, and green lights. (You do need to buy one box of lights for each wheel). All 3 sets are on 26″ bike wheels. They are super easy to put on and Activ Life sent a short informational video to watch beforehand. Everything you need comes in the box of lights, including batteries, and an extra rubber stretch band incase your wheel axel (?) has a wider diameter. The green lights seem to be the brightest of the 3, but all 3 are super bright and look amazing…especially when we are all riding together. I’d recommend any color. We go out as a family in the evening, so if it starts to get dark our bikes are very easy to see. We are using these with our older teenagers…just for fun. But, these would be great for any age. Lots of “ohhhs and ahhhs” from the neighborhood kids. Great gift! They easily wrapped around our 26″ bike spokes…exactly one time. Also…very attentive customer service from Activ LIfe just following up when our lights arrived in the mail.

I first bought a set of these lights in 2016, now I’m back in 2020 to finally review them! I’ve been enjoying them all these years.The lights are very bright and look beautiful on the street. You’ll get lots of compliments from people! But I also like how it’s an added safety feature when I ride at night or early morning. Cars will see you better, and it adds light to your bike from another direction besides having a rear light and a front headlight. These light you up for cars approaching you from the side at intersections.It was easy to install just using my own two hands. There’s a YouTube video where the owner of activ lights shoes you how to install it if the written directions are confusing. But it was easy and quick for me to get it installed on my wheel.Customer service from activ life is great too. There are some other bike wheel companies but I’m definitely sticking with these guys. Highly recommended! Treat yourself and light your bike ð

Installation process
This review begins with my installation experience on an ordinary, adult, two-wheeled bike. The first light I received was defective, so I sent it back. This second one lights up just as advertised. Although The link to the video with instructions was incorrect, I found the very helpful video easily with a YouTube search. The installation is a simple process, but it takes a bit of finger dexterity and strength. I didnât have the finger strength to attached the battery assembly to the hub using only one band, so I took the advice of the instructions and used two bands. Worked great. Threading the light wire through the spokes was a bit tricky at first, but as the wire shortened with repeated wrappings, the process became easier. The wire is wound around the spokes, but not attached, so Iâll extend this review after I ride my bike a few times to see how it holds up.I’ve had the light for almost a month now, and it stays in place. It does not sag or move. I’m actually thinking about getting another one for the back wheel.

Great customer service
It was a great product and very easy to install. Most of all I love the great customer service I received. I bought the lights back in May 2020. Because of the pandemic I received order but I didnât check my lights or install them until. Oct 2021. When I installed the lights I had bought 2 sets of blue and 2 pink sets. 3 of the 4 lights worked. So because I waited so long I thought I wouldnât be able to get the bad set replaced. I thought well I will reach out to them and try. There was a numerous of ways to contact them. I did 3different things to contact them because I have had problems in the past to contact companies. I had gotten a response on a Sunday within 15 minutes. I was so shocked! I was told I didnât have to return bad set at all (yay) and my new order was already placed! WOW! On top of that itâs Wednesday and I have my new set of blue lights. Thank you so much Alex Walker and Kim Wright!!

These bike lights are absolutely amazing, they are super easy to install. The instructions are very easy to follow and they even have a video on YouTube you walk you through the process. Once installed they are super easy to operate and have a steady function or a flashing function. The massive benefit is that they make rising bikes even more exciting for my son and give him even more of a reason to want to get riding and be active which is the real goal here. Cannot recliner these enough, if you have kids then these are a must!! There is also an major added benefit of added safety, the lights are super bright and it will help people see your little one whilst riding.

Firstly would like to make a point I had a accident last year where a car hit me when I was riding on a country lane and drove off, I had front and rear lights active plus I ride in high vis clothing. As such I continue to try and improve ways in which I can make myself as visible as possible and feel I am as safe as possible as my daily commute for work is done on my bike.These lights (I bought the 2 pack for both wheels) are absolutely fantastic and I love them, they are a little fiddly to install on yourself but if you have a second person available to help attach to your hub this becomes a breeze and they are simple to weave through the spokes to cover your full wheel.They are super bright and I guarantee you are making yourself many many more times visible at long distance with the light they give off. They are battery powered and they are simple to pop in but again reattaching to the hub isn’t simple if you are by yourself at the time.I have used these on my wheels in glorious sunshine, torrential rain, slightly snowy and icy weather and they have never faulted so far (touch wood) They have been a great investment and I don’t envisage any time I would not use these on my commuter bike going forward.
