I’ve never tried a Dyson so I can’t compare the quality vs that. But this thing is GREAT. I’m retiring my standard hair dryer that I never used (because it made me look like a llama). I’m retiring my straightener (not entirely). This dried my hair SO quickly and styled it nicely.*Amateur Tip!* Sit down, flip your hair upside down, and use the wide brush, on max, on max heat. I dried + straightened my hair like this today. When I stood up and fixed it, oh my GOD it was so voluminous and gorgeous.The attachments are easy to detach and swap. Some things have a learning curve — I wouldn’t expect myself to know how to give a salon style blowout on the first try either. But it made my unkempt, indecisively wavy, always-falling-flat, VERY long hair, much more manageable. And the curling rod attachments made some gorgeous perfect curls too. This will take some practice but it’s solved my problem of looking insane as I wait for my hair to air dry (because blowdrying it previously was always a disaster.)

Bought this because I am very low maintenance when it comes to my hair and sometimes just want to look like I at least tried. Couldnât justify spending hundreds on comparable products. My hair fails to hold quite literally anything despite product use, time, patience etc. as I have pin straight blonde thin hair, but it does seem to hold my blowout for a few hours which is crazy for me. Long enough for me to snap pics at least! ð in love with the curling feature so quick and easy to use while multitasking at the last minute of getting ready. I love how easy the settings are to switch and how many attachments come with it. my favourite is the curler one as it works beautifully and gives the best curls. the round brush is amazing plus it has two different sizes for both round and curls. it works smoothly and has a lock feature which keeps it in place.

At first I thought this was my own user error but after reading the instructions and seeing if there was any ways I could secure it further it became clear the product is faulty. The lock mechanism on the blow dryer is also clearly different from the picture in the instructions (if you look at the ‘push’ button, one has space and one doesn’t), making me think this is a poorly made immitation of another product online. I returned it.
