Not a bad scratcher
The scratcher is made of stamped steel. That process leaves the edges sharp. I am sure they do something to ease the edges, but for me, I had to take out some Emory cloth and ease the edges some more. Also, the telescoping handle is a bit stiff. Be careful how you open and close it. I bent the scratcher trying to close the wand. I was able to bend it back, but it seemed a bit too easily to do. I grab the end by the collar now rather than the scratcher. It works alright and gets the job done. My last scratcher (another brand) had a cast claw which was much sturdier – but the handle wore out.

Easy to use
I like these little scratchers because they have a great extension on them making it east to get them far to reach places and then you can retract it to put it away and save space. The scratcher itself is coated so it won’t hurt when scratching, but it will still get the job done. The only thing that is bugging me is that there is only 1 bag. I feel like there should have been 2 bags – one for each scratcher.

So 7 outta 10 for this one. I will be gentle with it and would order again due to price & quick delivery time. April 25th update: well after careful use the last of the two broke off at the end. I’m ordering 2 pairs this time around. I guess they can last an average of 3 months each with daily use if one is careful to not bend them. Pros: Arrived quickly Cons: The “neck” the “throat” of the claw is the weakest part so go easy when using or applying pressure while scratching. .

For some reason I thought these would be heavier. Theyâre actually quite light. My hubby loves them. He says they get the job done. They are not sharp and have what seems to be a plastic coating so wonât scratch your skin. He also likes the fact that they are collapsable and inconspicuous when kept in their included carrying pouch. The fact that there are two of them is a bonus. Very happy with purchase.
