Very well.made big sheets
T & J Thoughts –
First, read the instructions.
I thought it was pretty straightforward peel off a backing stick it on something peel off the other backing. This is why I completely wasted the first sheet. This material is very sticky. My suggestion is peel off the first backing piece and make sure you press it exactly where you want it before touching the other one. It rolls very easily, and once it rolls, it doesnât unroll. Does it work? Absolutely my kitty does not like the feel of this sticky tacky paper at all. I tried it out on a spot that the little kitten has gone to several times to scratch. This particular set comes in pre-cut sheets which are used to wrap around the corners of a carpeted bench. For a long piece of furniture, I would suggest the type that is in a roll.

Easy to use double sided deterrent
These are very easy to use double sided scratch deterrents. If you have cats, this is a great way to keep them off a surface or away from scratching somewhere, as these work consistently, not just when you’re there to scold. You get several different sizes, so this is very convenient to use. Applying these are easy, as you can take off the front when you’re ready. The only downside is that the front is so sticky that anything can and will get stuck, including fur, hair and dust. But these aren’t meant to be permanent, so after a few weeks, once the cat has learned good habits, you can take these off. I’ve only had to use one sheet so far, but it worked well and removed cleanly, so I’m quite happy with the results. This definitely does deter cats.

Large sheets are easy to handle. I risked putting it on my most prized piece of furniture.
You get a of sticky surface in this package of flat sheets. I think it is much more convenient than attempting to apply rolls of anti-scratch sticky stuff. You can still cut the sheets to size if you need strips, it cuts very easily and it does not transfer adhesive to the scissors. You know how sometimes when you are trying to wrap a gift or tape a box shut the tape doubles over on itself and gets stuck….you know how sometimes you try get a box ready to ship and you wind up with your fingers inside a loop of tape that is stuck together so firmly that you have to rip it off, roll it into a ball and wind up throwing it away? That is what using a roll of double sided anti-cat sticky stuff is like! You thin you can get it on the side of the couch in a nice flat layer so that it isn’t really visible, but it wrinkles! You try to pull it straight and it sticks to your hand and then the wave that was bothering you turns into a folded stuck-to-itself mess. These sheets are large enough (11″x17″ for the largest) to cover a substantial amount of space at a time, but small enough to not be overwhelming to handle. You can peel the backing off of one side and the sheet remains fairly firm so that there is no risk of it buckling and folding back upon itself. Press it onto the surface and then peel the second backing off.Okay, just how sticky is this? Is it going to ruin my furniture more than the cat would?-The directions specifically say not to stick it to leather or pleather because it will not end well.I believe them…don’t put it on leather. I am willing to bet a large sum that it would rip the surface off of a nice piece of leather. Trust them, don’t do it!-The directions say it is okay to put it on wood.I have some really nice, really expensive, made in the USA, heirloom quality, craftsman style furniture that I absolutely adore. Our kitty scratched an end table a couple of times and it really annoyed me. I will be getting glass to put on top of those tables to protect them from further damage as there is no way she is ever going to stop sitting there. She doesn’t scratch at them, she just gets excited and takes off with a claw sticking out on occasion. Those tables will be okay. However, she has been eyeballing my most prized piece of furniture. A 5′ tall drop front desk/bookcase. She puts her cute little paw on the knob and you can see her brain churning as she tries to calculate the effort and claw extension necessary to tear her way to the top where I keep putting interesting things. She doesn’t take my threats seriously, and finger wagging means nothing to her, so I knew I was going to have to move this to a place where she cannot get to it, or find a way to make it unappealing. Sticky stuff was the only thing I could find that might do the trick. I was afraid to put this on the wood. I took a deep breath and put a strip across the edge of the bottom shelf where there were already a couple of dings from life over the past 20 years. I pressed it on but not too firmly and removed the backing. It stayed in place but isn’t rubbed into the wood. I know I can peel it off. The front of the drawers is my biggest concern because she wants to stick her claws in there and climb her way up. So, for the sake of letting you all know how it turns out, I put strips of this stuff along the front rails between the drawers, a little square beneath each knob (where she is most likely to put her paw while making calculations for her ascent) and covered the knobs with strips of this stuff. She would most likely do her plotting when I am not around because she knows it is forbidden, but I catch her checking things out, and she (being young) loses self control and tests the waters when she thinks I am not paying attention.-You cannot see it when it is flat on the surface.-It stays stuck and does not flap in the breeze.-I have not seen her put her paw on the drawer and gaze up dreamily since putting this stuff on the drawers.I initially covered the entire drawer front with this stuff. I had a mini panic attack and decided I needed to remove it before it was too late. It was not easy to remove. I knew that I could not just scratch at it because I would damage the wood, but I was able to apply firm pressure with my thumb and roll the film. After a sufficient amount was rolled for me to pinch, I was able to pull it off. It did no damage and left no stick-um.I don’t think it is necessary to cover the whole thing if you find key contact points for your cat.I think this might pull the finish off of a cheap piece of wood furniture that has flaking finish…but that would not be the fault of these sheets, it would be the shoddy finish on my dresser that caused the problem.I put this on my most prized furniture. Not only did it not cause damage, but it has taken away our kitty’s dreams of conquering it. I will leave the film on the item for now and will post an update if there is damage as it sits for a while. I honestly think it is going to be okay. This film is very similar to some terrific sticky double-sided scrapbooking tape which is amazingly sticky but can be removed from smooth surfaces without damage even after years of being in place.

Doesnât stick to furniture
The paper pulls off easily from the sticky part on both sides but it was hard to get the sheet to stick to the furniture and the first time the cat touched it, it pulled off. Great stickinessâto itself but not the cat or furniture! Iâll need to try a different brand next time.

Best product out there!!
I LOVE these! They are a lot of furniture protector pads out there, different variants and all that. The most common one being a non stick plastic side and a sticky plastic side, basically so that the paws just can’t grip onto the fabric of the real couch. In theory that’s a good idea, practically speakingâ¦unless you get a custom size plastic wrap for your whole couch they WILL find a spot to scratch. This ??? Perfect solution. The double sticky side literally makes them hate even going near it. It is the perfect solution and after a few weeks you can take it off and they won’t go near it in fear of the scary sticky thing clinging onto their paws. Great!!!!

Easy to apply!
Does the trick! Keeps the cat from scratching the back of the dining room chairs. The only problem is our dog likes to brush by it and leaves a lot of hair, as itâs double sided. But overall, works great!
