Beautiful but smelly
This was my first beef tallow product and wanted to make sure to get the non-scented. Being new to the scene, I just don’t think I realized how MUCH I would smell like hamburger grease? And I have loss of smell from COVID so that’s saying something. Not sure it dissipates but I, at least, don’t smell it once I start moving.It is grease so I have to wash my hands with dish soap to get it off. I keep dish soap to clean my retainers anyway so not a big deal to have a separate bottle in the bathroom for that. I personally buy 2 bottles of the Mrs. Meyer’s Peppermint every year to get me through the full year as it’s seasonal.It moisturizes really well and has cleaned up my acne! I have PCOS and destroyed my skin barrier and have found that if I’m not slathering in moisturizer, my skin breaks out. This stuff also goes A LONG WAY. You don’t need much daily, and I apply it 3x a day.Overall, the packaging is beautiful and modern. This would make a great gift to girlfriends paired with the peppermint dish soap and a cute, thrifted tray to a crunchy-curious friend!
