Thick plastic protects furniture
It may depend on the type of material. I bought several of these plastic covers and they are sticking very well to the upholstered side of our bed. Unfortunately, we have an upholstered chair in the living room and it does not adhere well to that. But it is deterring the cat from scratching.

Bought these for my brand new furniture. Very easy to install. Can be cut to size to wrap every surface for protectionâ¦..Pretty sure my cat took it as a challenge! I woke up this morning to every piece in a pile on the floor with claw and bite marks in it .
