Working great
I replaced my Hubitat c8 with a Home Assistant Green to take advantage of Home Assistant’s larger amount of community support for drivers/integrations and automation code. It’s working great and the software is pretty amazing. That said, I would only recommend HA Green to someone who has written at least a little code in the past. Most things can be done through the graphical user interface, but not everything. I’m glad I made the switch from Hubitat, but it took a week of work, and from time to time was a bit daunting and/or required a fair amount of reading to figure out what to do.Hubitat, in contrast, is somewhat less capable but still pretty powerful, much easier to onboard as a new user, and in two years of using it, I never needed to write any code. Decide how deep you want to dive and make your choice.

Really easy to setup
Only took 30 minutes out of the box to fully set this up on my network. All of the smart devices on my network were seen and were automatically supported through the search integration function. The only thing that I didnât like, which was out of the manufacturerâs hands was not being able to set up the Google nest cloud project on Googleâs site so that I could stream on my nest cameras, but having one page to show and control all my smart devices and the automation features are great! Well worth the money.

App cant find it on my network
I installed this on a wifi network using google wifi (by plugging it into a switch connected to the lan port on the google wifi puck). It has been assigned an IP address which I can see in the google home app but the home assistant app cannot find the home assistant green on the network. It also does not find it by manually entering the ip address. Not sure what’s wrong but clearly not going to be successful for people who are not knowledable about computer networking. I have a samsung smartthings which is pretty easy to use but I thought home assistant would be more robust but if I cant even connect to it I guess I’m in over my head.

Work great as advertised
This is a great device and works better than I expected. A little learning curve to setup, but pretty straightforward after you start configuring it. Much more configurable settings than I expected. Easily detected my Ring cameras, Ambient Weather and Ecowitt weather stations, Rachio Irrigation System, Sense Energy, Honeywell thermostat and many others. Works really well and will definitely recommend.

not for the casual user!
item was returned after following the promised plug-and-play nature of this technology without solid results. I have minimal experience (Amazon Alexa and some power outlets (2 lamps and my coffee percolator). I had inferred from what I read that thew hub would search and find everything that I had set up and provide a dashboard of information. Instead the complexity of the technology was overwhelming.the reviews were great, therefore I was disappointed that I was not able to understand en ought to get any benefit from the technology.

Fast and easy migration
Fast and easy migration from raspberry pi 2 platform. Having previously done the installation from scratch, wasnât feeling up to it when my hardware was too slow for esphome compiles and updates. Comes with home assistant preinstalled. Update to the latest versions before attempting to migrate. There are numerous youtube videos detailing the migration procedure, which is quick and easy. My only gripe is the limited USB ports. Be aware that it does not come equipped with any wireless radios (wifi, bluetooth or zigbee). Not an issue for me since I was migrating hardware and simply moved the dongles but it will be additional devices to buy if you donât already have them and wish to use them.

Keep Your Data Local
Don’t let big tech run your home. My new Home Assistant Green worked flawlessly out of the box. I was also impressed by the quality of the case.

The only way to go
If you want to use Home Assistant. Fully integrated and ready to go. Save time and get one of these rather than sloggiing away building your own. Good value for the money.
