Cats use it every day
A year ago, I was fortunate enough to be chosen to adopt three litter-mate kittens. They love to sleep cuddled up together and leave a lot of fur on chairs and couches after their naps. At first I was looking for a simple mat to make the hair easier to clean up. Then I learned of these self-warming mats and thought that would be great for the colder months. Well, the cats figured out quickly that the pad is a warm place to rest and have used them every day, winter and summer. I bought 3 in the 36″L x 24″W size, so there is enough room for all the cats to share it. The quality is good; it’s still soft after a few washings. I would definitely buy it again.

My cat loves this!
I purchased this product for my older cat to help keep her warm and comfortable. She loves it!She immediately curled up on it and even now, several months later, it’s her favorite spot to hang out. She’s 16 years old and arthritic, so anything that makes her more comfortable is welcome. This bed has an inner layer that helps to retain her body heat, so she is snug and warm whenever she lays on the bed for a bit. When I first received this, I felt the surface of the bed when she got up and moved and sure enough, it does hold body heat. Works great!Five stars.

My boy loves this
My boy is 18 pounds but fits perfectly on this. And he’s loved it from Day One. He’s usually hard to get to use new things but he sat on it by himself and has been using it ever since. It feels nice and warm underneath him and looks great. It’s well made, and I would highly recommend this.

I didnât expect much from very inexpensive, last minute gift, but as soon as I opened it, my cat jumped on it and has barely left it since. Itâs the best gift Iâve ever given him! Also it is quality made , great soft to a touch and even have a hook to hang after the wash . I will buy again when need it for sure .

This is the BEST self-warming pet bed. Even my picky cats loved it, dogs did too of course. Large size would be nice even for humans to take camping. You can truly feel the heat radiating back when putting your hand on it. Pet hair sticks to it, so a little tricky to de-hair. But worth it. Machine washable on gentle cycle and quickly air dries. I bought 3 different versions and all my animals preferred this one.A great gift for friends/family with pets and an awesome item to donate to animal rescues, especially during these cold months!For the seller: Please consider making more colors or fabric prints in the future! 🙂 Iâd love to match our bedroom decor and donate some cheery colors to our local rescue!

Rejected by the cat
Upon taking a out of the package, I immediately knew my cat would not be likely to enjoy this product because of the crinkling sound. He is a little skittish and a little shy, so anything unusual he will totally reject. I tried to get him used to it by sitting on it & snuggling it myself, and laundering it, but he still gave it the hard pass. I tried it for a week. He immediately started avoiding his favorite snuggle spots if I had placed this warming mat in his spot. I would love to return it, but I already washed it. It seems like a decent product, not too thick, but adds a tiny bit of extra padding, and it obviously reflects heat, but it was rejected by my cat, unfortunately. A couple of nights he reluctantly slept on it if I covered it with his favorite blanket, but otherwise he refused to step on it unless it was covered, which kind of defeats the purpose, I assume. Honestly it kind of scared him and freaked him out. So now I am using it for myself, to sit on one of my metal chairs.* update. This sounds crazy but now my cat loves this thing! He is a former stray cat and is often very skeptical of new fabrics, as I am learning. I didn’t want to return the item, so I just sat on it for a couple months using it as a human warmer for our cold outdoor chairs. Once it smelled like me and didn’t seem ‘scary’ anymore, my cat now loves this thing. He frequently sits on it no matter what surface it is on. Sometimes I put it in his cat bed or on our other outdoor furniture. So I have ordered several of these items (self heating pet mats) that were similar, of all varying quality and this one is a little bit on the thin side. Overall, the cat likes it now, so I say go for it if you like it. I do prefer the ones that I have that are a bit fluffier and thicker, but this one is fine
