So… I have two 65 lb. Pittieâs and they generally donât tear things up that arenât meant to be torn up. Dog toys and such have a short shelf life, but outside of the puppy stage the furniture and most items around the house are safe. For that reason, I thought the two new Furhaven beds I bought them were safe. Nope, for some unknown reason I was gone for a morning and I came home to find one shredded.Ugh. To say I was pissed is a massive understatement. I was seriously ready to kill them. They were âthis closeâ to being… passed on! No more! Ceased to be! Expired and gone to meet their maker! Stiffs! Bereft of life, and resting in peace! Pushing up the daisies! Their metabolic processes being history! Off the twig! Kicked the bucket, and shuffled off their mortal coils, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisible!! THEY WERE THIS CLOSE TO BEING EX-PITTIES!!After a bit of yelling and screaming and putting the fear of dog in them cooler heads prevailed. It took me a couple of days to summon the energy to clean up the pieces of the bed, but in doing so realized that I just might be covered under the Furhaven âWorry-Free 60 Day Programâ… and I was. I contacted Furhaven and emailed them photos of what was left of the bed and they sent me a new replacement. Thank You Furhaven.As the beds go they are really nice. I purchased two of the:Furhaven Pet Bed for Dogs and Cats – Plush and Velvet Waves Perfect Comfort Sofa-Style Cooling Gel Foam Dog Bed, Removable Machine Washable Cover – Granite Gray, Large ( Item / model number: â88449537)For my two 65 lb. Pitbulls these large beds are a perfect size. They easily fit one to one and a half dogs, and since my younger 5-year-old female has no concept of personal space they are often both found in one of the beds together. The quality seems fine… unless your Pitbulls are on a, ummm, tear. They are nice and soft. About the only thing I can think of, only word of advice is to maybe take them apart and wash them once a month. When the one got shredded it prompted me to wash the one that wasnât and it was dirtier inside on the foam and cooling gel bit than I thought it would be. Long story short, I am quite happy with having found and purchased these beds.

I have bought two of these in the past and they have held up very nicely, even when one of my dogs like to âdig into the fabric to burrowâ and he doesnât tear the fabric. Both dogs love this bed; very comfortable (and easy enough to put in wash machine).

Itâs a King size plush bed – She loves it!
At first not impressed with the packaging. It was bursting at the seams so I was very skeptical and thought this may have been a previously returned item they were shipping off to me. But the foam bed was still in its vacuum sealed bag. Embarrassed to say it took me a few minutes to figure out the bolster goes in a compartment on the inside that has a zipper to hold in in. My dog knew the bed was for her because she kept trying to get on it as I was trying to figure out how to put it together. Needless to say as you can see by the pictures, she LOVES her bed. It is HUGE! Wasnât expecting that. It has a very soft velvety feel to it and super plush. Very impressed by this bed. Expensive splurge but very much worth it. She deserves to be comfortable as she is not a young pup anymore -my girl is 11 years now. Would highly recommend. If you donât have a lot of space for the bed donât get the XL. Not necessary. My dog is a medium size dog, about 50lbs and this bed would easily fit 2 dogs her size.

This bed is absolutely huge and well made. The size and shape are as shown and the feel of the foam and support are great. I have actually been in this bed with my large dog on more than one occasion. It does feel cooler to the touch and while I have not removed the cover and washed it, I have spot cleaned it in a few places and it still looks good as new. It is expensive but does not bottom out on hip or knees (myself) and my dog loves her new bed. She sometimes goes to sleep in it even before we turn in for the night. Highly recommend a bed like this for training and providing your dog a safe place to sleep that is also big enough to go belly-up and roll over in. The bolster cushions support her head and neck if she wants. The front cut-out allows her to hang her head outside onto the cool wood floor when she wants also. Highly recommend this bed, but make sure you measure it out before ordering. The XXL is really XXL!!!

Bolster Dog Bed
So far so good. My dog is a little picky when it comes to beds, often he chooses the floor (in the summer). He immediately walked to the new bed, seems to like it so far. I’m excited to see if he chooses this one over the floor on hotter days b/c it does say that it has the cooling pad, not so sure how well it will work. The material is amazingly soft and feels very sturdy. It was easy to put together so I anticipate that it will be easy to take a part for cleaning. The cover does not feel very thick, in terms of protecting the mattress, so I hope that’s not an issue going forward. The mattress states it can only be spot cleaned which I’m not thrilled about but knew before I purchased. This is the basis for me removing a star, I just don’t anticipate the cover actually ‘stink protecting’ the mattress at all. I ordered the Jumbo size for my 50lbs Red Heeler, Walker Treeing Coonhound mix. I went a size up b/c he likes to spread out sometimes; I definetly suggest doing the same if your pup does this too. I’m glad I sized up. I’m very happy with the purchase and if I find that the cover does actually protect the mattress I will revise the four stars to five.

Honestly I was very skeptical about buying this for Karma my 95lb Pitty due to some of the negative reviews. I was pleasantly surprised to see how thick it is.. she is getting some really good sleep cause she is snoring more than usual.. love it and love that she loves it! Smell is fine and it was easy to assemble!

I have only had the bed for 3 weeks, but think it is a great product. My Beagle took a liking to it immediately,especially with the gel foam mattress which leaves his stomach cooler when he sleeps without having to roll over on his back to cool down. Not to mention he can stretch out better with extra space length wise. Best part though is it fits perfectly in back seat of our SUV for long trips,where he can either sleep or sit up to watch views looking out front & side windows.
