A must for every parent!
My baby was in the NICU with oxygen issues for a few weeks so getting this was a no brainer for us. I love that it alerts us if something is wrong, which it did when his heart rate was too high due to a fever which turned out to be pneumonia. The battery life is also AMAZING and so is the charging speed! I do think there could be several improvements. 1: the fabric of the sock is really crappy, my baby has used it for all of 2 months and itâs already coming apart. I get it, it used every night and babies rub their feet all the time but Im sure there are better and more durable fabrics. 2: The app is amazing but there should be a working widget to go along with it. 3: The connectivity needs a little improvement. My house is not very big and I have to constantly move the base station around when I want to monitor my LO during the day. Other than that, I am honestly extremely grateful for this device. I have more peace of mind at night knowing that my baby is being monitored all night. Itâs worth every single penny.

Soothes for anxious baby mommas
I LOVE the owlet! This sock is sooo easy to set up and every night my son knows to stick out his foot to get his little sock on for the night. We have used our owlet for nearly a year now and I wanted to use it practically before leaving a review since it isnât cheap. I HIGHLY recommend for anyone that has any anxiety about there new little baby. You do have to reset the base every one in awhile which can be annoying but I have only had to do that twice in almost a year and this could be anything from a power outage as well you just unplug plug it back and your ready to go. Itâs range of how far you can go isnât huge but you really donât need it to be when we walk into our backyard I will get alert telling me Iâm far from the base. The only false readings Iâve gotten is when we put on the sock and he still wants to play and run around in his walker then it gives me false readings. Overall the positives out weigh the minor annoyances so much so that Iâm getting one for my sister in law for her baby shower!

Nightmare Sock
My wife insisted on getting this product to monitor our babyâs O2 and heart rate, while sleeping, for peace of mind. Peace of mind has been the complete opposite of what the dream sock has given us. First, you cannot use the Health Notifications, which is the feature that alarms if babyâs O2 falls below 80%, until baby is 1 month old. When finally setting this feature up, it took several attempts restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, and unplugging and plugging the base back in for the âactivationâ to complete. While using the dream sock, it would constantly drop connection with the base and the base would alarm, sending a notification to my phone stating âsensor disconnected from base station.â My daughter sleeps 1-2 feet away from the base station. It is set up on the dresser directly next to where she is sleeping. This has been our experience for nearly a week now and each night we have had to unplug the base to get it to stop alarming. What is really frustrating is we will put the sock on while our daughter is getting ready to go down for the night and it will work perfectly. While sheâs wiggling around during a diaper change in another room, while sheâs being rocked to sleep, even when sheâs downstairs before we all go to bed, there are no alarms, but as soon as we lay down to sleep, again DIRECTLY next to the base, it starts alarming. This is easily one of the worst products I have ever used. It flat out does not work for the function for which it is designed. The cost is ridiculous. Upon writing this review, I see the cost has increased a further $100 since we purchased our kit. Seriously, my wife bought an âoff brandâ Apple Watch for $15 that tracks her O2 and heart rate and it works far and above better than the dream sock. The Owlet app looks like it was designed for Windows XP and works just about as well. I havenât even set up the camera yet, but based on my experience with the dream sock and app, I expect it to be a complete nightmare to use and the whole kit will end up being a tremendous waste of money that just sits in the cupboard collecting dust. Unfortunately we are beyond the return window because of the whole âcanât use it for the first month of babyâs lifeâ thing so weâre stuck with the nightmare sock for good. I guess I expected that for a premium cost I would be getting a premium product with a premium user experience. The Owlet Dream Sock and app are the total OPPOSITE of a premium product and premium user experience and I would not recommend this product to anyone.05/27/2024 Update: I set up the camera and it was simple enough. I like that it shows the humidity of the room and gives an indication of the noise level in the room on the app. The picture quality is about as good as the webcam that came for free with my Dadâs HP Pavilion desktop computer in 1999. We wanted a second camera for another area of our house where our daughter naps, but a camera on its own is $129! Thats right, $129 for essentially a 1080p webcam. Do a quick search on Amazon and you can find higher image quality baby monitor cameras, with the same features, for far less than half the price. We are going to go that route for a second camera. My wife insisted on using the dream sock for what has now been a total of 6 weeks and she has finally given up on it. We end up having to unplug it almost every night because it keeps giving the same connectivity error over and over to the point, last night, it woke our baby up. I am not confident that if our baby was having a medical emergency it would even work to alert us because the connectivity issues have been so bad. Not to mention with it going off over and over, night after night, it has been pretty much âcrying wolfâ for 6 weeks. My wife and I are done using this product for good and the sock is now packed away. For how poorly the dream sock has worked, I wonder if our set was possibly defective? But again, we canât return it because we are beyond the return window. I cannot reiterate enough, this is BY FAR the worst product I have ever used and the value for money is truly horrendous. Since the dream sock is nonfunctional, we ended up paying $269 for essentially a 1080p webcam and an app that looks like itâs from before the iPhone was even invented. Also, donât forget, this all functions over 2.4ghz WIFI and not the newer 5ghz WIFI so there is noticeable lag with both the camera and sock. The dream sock has cost my wife and I hours and hours and hours of sleep and has done the complete and total opposite of giving us âpeace of mind.â It belongs with Oscar the Grouch, IN THE TRASH.

Must have!
My baby was born prematurely and had to stay at the hospital because of respiratory issues and was monitored with a pulse ox on. I was less worried going home since having this and it was a big relief. It works great, but the only thing I didnât know beforehand was that the oxygen level was updated every 10 minutes with an average of what it was. Still, very helpful! Another amazing thing is that this will tell you if your baby needs help right away and will alarm you. The camera is amazing quality and all I can say is you will not regret buying this product and it is worth every penny for the little peace of mind that you getUPDATE!!! The owlet is now FDA approved, which is amazing! That means the monitor is now tracking/showing real time oxygen levels. I can now compare this to the actual hospital one and say that this is very accurate and the only thing that is different is that you donât have visuals which help you determine if the numbers are accurate because sometimes the monitor just doesnât get correct readings when the baby is moving or if itâs placed incorrectly. But that happens even at the hospital and this thing has been very accurate! Very excited about this update and it is a big step forward. This could help a lot of caregivers especially when kiddos are sick, just try to be observant and not to worry too much

Though they’re not 100% proof, it eased new parents minds, so everyone could sleep better. Very functional.
