I had one of these years ago and it was a royal pain to set up. Also, the lights were separate, not LED, and got very hot. It was also almost impossible to position the lights so they would light your subject. For that reason, I have avoided buying another for years now. I recently opened an Etsy shop, however, and since I sell miniatures, this was the perfect size. I love how easy it is to set up and take down and the built in LED lights are fabulous. I could not believe how complete the kit was for the money. It appears to be well made and a great value!

Great little set up!

Though the lights are dimmable, the maximum brightness may not be sufficient for capturing fine details or reflective surfaces, potentially requiring supplementary lighting. Additionally, the fixed positioning of the LED strips limits control over lighting angles, making it challenging to achieve certain shadow effects or depth.Photo Studio Light Box strikes a solid balance between performance and convenience, making it a good option for casual photographers or small-scale businesses. While it excels in ease of use and affordability, professionals looking for more advanced lighting control or higher brightness levels might want to consider larger, more robust models. Overall, it’s a great entry-level tool that delivers value for its price, with room for improvement in durability and lighting versatility.

Easy to use
Had a great time using this. Easy to pop up for photos and the pics turn out wonderful. It’s sturdy and easy to store. The carry bag makes it easy to take with you to photo products etc. heat level stays low.

A nice, relatively inexpensive, light box, but …
I feel like I have to give this three stars because, although its an easy to set up and reasonably well made lightbox for the price, the claimed 95+ CRI is just simply not correct. On top of that, the claimed “0-100” brightness is misleading, as there’s maybe a dozen gradations in brightness and they’re not very linear, so most of them are not really bright enough for much use. Assume you’re going to get “all the way up”, “medium” and “dark” out of it, not any flexibility.But the real issue I have is the lighting itself. The claimed CRI of 95+ doesn’t seem to be correct, nor is the claimed 5500 degree color temperature. Measuring with a Kodak grey card, I’m seeing more like 4000 degree color temperature, and auto-calibration is all over the place in my processing software as the color spectrum is spiky. To my eye, the CRI is probably more like high 80’s. If I open the top and illuminate with a known-good, color-calibrated LED light source, there’s a visible difference in colors.So, for my use — trying to shoot things with a DSLR as RAW images and doing proper post-processing, this is a decidedly mediocre lightbox. If you’re reading this and your plan is to shoot with a cell phone (pretty much all of which have such enormous image processing happening that spectrum inconsistencies are going to be masked), its probably a solid 4 star. So, it really depends on your uses.

Easy to set up and use. Item works as shown in description and photos. Great quality for the price point – gets the job done. GREATLY enhances photos of my baseball cards. Looks very professional when I post them to sell now.

Die Fotobox ist ziemlich robust und gut verarbeitet.Sie lässt sich wunderbar kompakt für den Transport zusammenfalten Und kommt mit einer passenden Tragetasche daher.Die Beleuchtung kann in mehreren Stufen eingestellt werden und ist ausreichend hell.Das Tuch, mit welchem die LEDs abgeklebt werden können, sorgt für ein angenehm weiches Licht mit wenig Reflektionen.Die Hintergrundfolien sind aus einem festem Kunststoff, lassen sich wunderbar in der Fotobox fixieren und sind recht robust. Man braucht keine Sorge, haben diese schnell aus Versehen zu verknicken.Die Farben der Hintergründe sind sehr schön und sehen auf den Fotos sehr gut aus, lediglich der schwarze Hintergrund wirkt auf den Fotos durch die Beleuchtung eher grau, auch mit wenig Licht bekommt man hier kein tiefschwarze hin.Die mitgelieferten Reflektorpappen in Silber und schwarz können wunderbar dafür eingesetzt werden das Objekt komplett auszuleuchten oder auch bewusst Schatten zu produzieren.Kleine Objekte, wie Schmuck, Spielzeuge oder andere Klein Produkte können in dieser Fotobox wunderbar fotografiert und ausgeleuchtet werden.Bei etwas größeren Objekten, welche gerade in die Fotobox passen, wird es schwierig, diese ganz zu fotografieren., Ohne den Rand beziehungsweise die Seiten der Fotobox auf dem Foto zu haben.Durch die obere Luke in der Box ist es auch möglich, wunderbar Aufnahmen von oben zu machen.Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für das Produkt ist vollkommen ok, daher von meiner Seite eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
