Great for two cats!
I had a timer feeder with one bowl. It was loud and caused issues between my cats. I finally upgraded to this and I love it. Iâm really happy that it doesnât beep when dispensing food. The only noise it makes is the food hitting the bowls. Itâs pretty quiet. Thereâs enough storage for the food to last about a month or two. I love the app! Iâm allowed to make set times for dispensing food and portion sizes. I can also see a log of when food was dispensed while Iâm not home. This feeder has made my life so much easier and has allowed both cats to eat at the same time.It is wifi dependent so if wifi is out, food wonât automatically dispense. It also works best when placed close to the wifi router.

Auto feeder is working great!
I had to leave town for few days and couldnât find anyone to watch the cats. I decided to give this feeder a whirl and also bought a gravity water dispenser. I was able to monitor thru the app when food was dispensed. Cats were alive and well when I got home ð.

We’ve used in a weekend trip to feed our two cats, and it worker well.I’ve found when’s we were back that the food got stuck on the directional part, this could caused because of the #of portions that I’ve programmed (it could be too many)

Battery Life is a joke
I bought this feeder just in case I’m away from my cats for too long. It was very easy to set up and the food holder part comes off for easy cleaning. Stuck in new batteries and found out the app to use is just SmartThings! LOVE that it doesn’t need a whole new app to use. I used the app to send 1 feeding to the bowls and it worked so well. One of my cats quickly went up and ate from it. I left to take care of my brother’s family and checked in on the cats (using my indoor CCTV) and sent another feeding through. That was on 11/20/24.I decided to set the feeder to auto-feed at 5:20pm. I noticed the app showed the battery half full. The app alerted me when the feeding went through. I came home and noticed a red light on the feeder and checked the app – sure enough, the batteries are dead.Batteries lasted only 2 days and only 3 feedings. I wanted to use batteries for the convenience, but I guess I will have to use the power cord. Disappointed.

Suddenly not sure how I lived before this???
I’ve been on-off shopping for an auto feeder for awhile but ones with features I wanted (large storage capacity, time & portion settings, app control, feed logs) were either way outside my budget ($100+) or suspect quality. This one- the price was right ($68 currently, w/ 8% off coupon), and while there weren’t many reviews at the time, what *was* here were all 5 stars, and most importantly- seemed genuinely happy with it.I took the plunge. I’m happy to report: I’M SO GLAD I DID!!Things I love:-Instructions are well written & has pic walk thru also-Parts assembled easily-No need for another one-off device app; it uses SmartLink – which is compatible/can control multiple devices in the house (bulbs, outlets, cameras etc)-Has a AA battery compartment (batteries not included), to be sure your babies don’t go hungry if there’s a power outage while you’re away!-There’s an option in-app to be notified if that *does * happen-You can set the # of portions you want it to dispense, either when initiating it manually or setting a scheduled timer-Strong Velcro safety lock so the smart ones can’t just help themselves whenever ;)Potential areas for improvement:-Because the assembly was so easy, I did most w/o instructions, until I got down to one last part that I couldn’t figure out: a small rectangle with open slits in it. Ruffling thru the manual, I find a line that I suspect was referencing it but I went to public schools so turned to Google. I learned that “desiccant” is the official term for those little packets of silicate that come in bags, suitcases etc, that absorb moisture!! Well, it didn’t register as a potential “part” when I unboxed everything, so I accidentally threw it out with the rest of the packaging, oops! Luckily I hadn’t taken the recycling out yet, but a notification tag/warning sticker on the actual packet and/or dumbing down the instructions would be a good move, so others don’t make that same mistake.-For my fellow Americans: the portion size is quite small. My cats get wet food once & dry food 2x everyday. So for each dry food timer, I set it @ 4 (see video for example).-The dispensing is louder than I’d like, mostly because of the metal bowls. While it may be a nice touch, the feeder isn’t meant for wet food so plastic or silicone would be fine & less noisy. That said, the bowls *are* in a plastic liner, so I will probably just use that or find other replacements. So maybe this should actually be a ‘pro’…? Two extra wet food bowls, woohoo!!Bottom line: this is a solid pet care tool that has taken 2 daily chores off my list. Love it, 10/10 recommend!

Impressively easy to set up and works like a breeze
So this automatic pet feeder by PAPIFEED impresses me in several ways. First off, it’s easier than pie to set up. Also, don’t have to be connected to USB Power and have batteries in for backup. I’m using strictly AA batteries x4 because there’s no plug nearby to his food and water dishes and it works perfectly. For how long, I have no idea. When I figure that out, I’ll update the review with the relevant information. For now though, lets talk about this PAPIFEED automatic pet feeder. The barcode is on the front sticker of the device for the app. It’s the TUYA Smart App which many smart devices are now using. It’s easy to make an account. You enter your email and a password and you’re done. When you power up the device with either batteries x4 or USB or both, you’ll see a blue light flash slowly on the front panel. This means it’s ready to be set up. All you do is get into the TUYA App and add device, give it permissions, and it automatically finds and sets up the device for ya. From there, just add timers (time slots to dispense food) and the portion sizes, upto 12x a portion. Portions are small, probably for little cats. I’m testing it with a Husky so I have multiple dispenses set up at 12x each a minute apart. It dispenses rather quickly and all the amounts seem similar in portion size.Overall, couldn’t be happier with how simple this unit is to set up and operate. 5/5
