    Shark vs. Drybar (Shark wins)
The Drybar blow dryer brush was what I wanted so bad! I’ve had my eye on it for months. However there is NO way I could ever feel ok spending that kind of money on a dryer brush. After searching more I found the Shark dryer brush for half the price. I made the purchase.Day one of using it I was instantly impressed and mad at myself for never having tried a dryer brush before. I felt fancy like I just had my hair professionally done. It looked so good. Even the next morning. I excitedly told my coworker who said she owns the Drybar one and would bring it for me to try.I spent equal time with both brands to be sure about my feelings on which is better. TRUST ME when I say that the Shark is the one you want. Both brushes worked exactly the same with the basic function of a blowout style. Identical. There were only two features that the Drybar had and the Shark lacked, they were minor though; the Drybar had a very long cord and was light weight. Long cords are a game changer! As wonderful as those two details may be, are they worth a $110 difference!? No.Other details that made me question why a product can be priced so ridiculously high compared to one with a much lesser cost… Both dryers had identical noise levels. Both were the same length and shape. Both had 3 heat settings. Both glided through my hair the same. Both left my hair shiny, soft, healthy looking, full of volume and bounce. Both took exactly 15 minutes to dry my hair. What the Shark had and the Drybar lacked: the Shark has a little hook on the cord to hang the dryer, a wet and dry function (you don’t even need to turn it off to go from one function to the next), visible heat settings that are easy to read whereas with the Drybar you literally have to search for the settings because it’s all yellow, air flow is steady, lastly the Shark feels solid like if it were to drop it would no even get a scratch, it’s made from quality material whereas the Drybar is a thinner material and has zero grip.So two points for Drybar and six for Shark. Now that I’ve had both in my hands and hair I can honestly say there is ZERO reason to get the Drybar brush, not unless the long cord and cute yellow color are that important to you. The Shark is an excellent dryer brush and comb. You will never regret getting it.

AMAZING for thick coarse wavy hair.
Holy Cow!!!! I bought this hair dryer with much skepticism. I have thick coarse wavy hair with a tendency to frizz. It typically takes me what feels like forever to dry my hair. This dryer dried my hair (just below chin length) sooo quickly and easily. No sore hands or arms! I was happy before I ever even tried the straightening part. So easy and so good. However, if you are looking for something like a flat iron, that can straighten and do a variety of curls, this isn’t it. Still love love love it. I hate drying my hair. Now I don’t mind at all!!

    Great for Longer Hair but….
I have hair about down to my chin and while the Shark is very good, it isn’t the greatest for hair of this length. My Understanding is the people who have long hair do very well with it and it does have several options for heat styling and cold styling. It appears to be very adorable and it is easy to use. I previously used a Revlon hot brush and I prefer that to the Shark. It is much less expensive. However, I could understand why someone who has longer hair, thicker hair we prefer the Shark.

Thin hair girlies- PLEASE READ BEFORE USE
Alright if you have thin hair and are reading this you’re welcome in advance. You can absolutely use this product and you’ll be happy with the results. But you MUST do your hair in sections. I brush out the section first with my hair brush before very carefully running this through from the top of my hair to the ends and carefully curling it in doing your best not to move the brush around much. You want to keep your hairs from crossing over each other. Or you’ll end up trying to rip this thing out of your hair in desperation. Exteme caution when you’re learning to work with this. You have to be confident with a curling brush and blow dryer first. If you have issues with that this is sure to ruin your day. Don’t use this when you don’t have the time to really give yourself the ability to learn to use it. Now that I have mastered it I love this product. But until I was confident with it I wanted to throw it back in the box and return it. I am really glad I stuck with it.I’m able to give myself at home, salon quality blow outs, without having to use a bunch of different tools to achieve it.I love to spray a little dry shampoo at the scalp before I do a section to really give me that extra lift and support that thin hair doesn’t naturally provide. Also helps the style last longer.I use this when I wake up with messy and somewhat greasy hair and it looks better than my just showered but didn’t have time to style hair. It’s a little heavy feeling at first but you’ll earn your stripes soon just hang in there with it and overtime you’ll scoof at the drawer of hair styling products you own.Do NOT use this on thin hair that isn’t 80% dry already or you will tangle the ever living hell out of it. Me and my bald spot have warned you. 😂

Recomendadismo!!
