Lightweight and Versatile Hiking Backpack with Great Comfort
I recently purchased the Osprey Talon 22L Menâs Hiking Backpack, and it has quickly become my go-to for day hikes and outdoor adventures.Design & Fit:The sleek, stealth black design is both functional and stylish, and the S/M size fits perfectly for my frame. The hip belt and adjustable straps distribute the weight evenly, making it incredibly comfortable, even on longer hikes. The AirScape back panel offers excellent breathability, keeping my back cool during intense activities.Storage & Organization:For a 22L pack, the storage is impressive. The main compartment is spacious enough for essentials like a jacket, snacks, and water, while the multiple pocketsâespecially the hip belt pocketsâmake it easy to access smaller items like a phone or snacks without taking off the pack. The external hydration sleeve is a great feature for those who need easy access to water.Performance:The lightweight design doesnât sacrifice durability. The pack holds up well under rugged conditions, and the zippers and materials feel sturdy. Iâve used it in various terrains, and itâs versatile enough for both casual hikes and more challenging trails.Final Thoughts:The Osprey Talon 22L strikes a great balance between comfort, storage, and durability. Itâs perfect for day hikes or light travel, and the ergonomic design makes it easy to carry for hours. Highly recommended for any avid hiker looking for a reliable and versatile backpack.

perfect all-purpose backpack
I used the women’s version of this pack (the Tempest 20) for years; it’s still perfectly functional, but quite worn after lots of hiking and traveling. I picked up this one last summer before moving abroad, and I couldn’t be happier with it! It serves as my everyday laptop bag, hiking pack, and personal item for travel. It’s lightweight but super sturdy – aside from the logo wearing off, the pack is still in perfect condition after close to a year of daily use. It’s spacious enough to work as my only bag for 3-5 day trips but still fits under any plane seat, and the harness system and back panel make it comfortable for long travel days and long hikes. I recently picked up the 33L version to tackle the Camino de Santiago this summer.

Excellent day pack
Pros: it is comfortable, light, is torso-adjustable, has a bladder sleeve, hip pockets, and a great stretchy outer pocket… much like the big Osprey packs. And at 22L, it has enough space for all the food, water, and weather gear you want to carry.

Must have hiking backpack!
I recently purchased this Osprey Talon 22L Men’s Hiking Backpack, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my choice. This product deserves a solid 5-star rating!!This is my first Osprey backpack, and it left a remarkable impression. The level of support this backpack provides is truly outstanding and it fits me perfectly. It’s designed to comfortably carry the weight and essentials needed for a day hike, and it does so with ease. The 22L capacity provides ample space for all my day hike essentials, and the quality of the bag is exceptional. I have a 3L Platypus Big Zip EVO Reservoir and I was able to fit it in perfectly without any issues, ensuring I stay well-hydrated during my hikes. The hip belt pockets are a fantastic addition, perfect for conveniently storing snacks or other small items you want to access quickly. The side pockets for water bottles are also a great feature, adding to the convenience of this backpack. I must also mention the strong and durable zippers that give me confidence that this backpack will last for many adventures to come. What makes this review even more special is that this backpack accompanied me on my trip to the Canadian Rockies, making my hiking experience in the Canadian Rockies truly unforgettable.Overall, I absolutely love this backpack!! 😀

Inconspicuous
Had a 8+ hour outing for which I needed at least 3L water and room for food. Hydration vest was not enough, and my backpack was too much. I was a little hesitant given the reviews of the bladder, but Iâve had really good luck with Osprey and I like their lifetime warranty which I have taken advantage of several times. The best thing about this pack, I didnât think about it during the hike/jog. It fit really well, kept it loose on the grind up and tightened it down for the run down, no issues. I thought the single chest strap would make it less stable but tightening the shoulder and hip belt pretty much locked it to my back. Pole storage worked well too.About the bladder, I bought the Osprey 3L which has a rigid back and a handle and works well with the packs bladder strap. Yes, its not awesome getting the full bladder in the pack and I would imagine with a full pack it would be difficult. The tight fit also makes it a little challenging to jam your hand down to check the level. However, with an empty pack and full bladder its akin to getting a pillow in a pillow case and the snug fit made for a stable situation as I moved faster or was scrambling over terrain with my hands.I bought the Large/XL, Iâm 6â3â, 210.

Live the backpack, was able to use it as a secondary backpack to my trip. Was able to fit under the airplane seat and didnât have any issues. The only one thing is the Osprey symbol came off within the first 2 weeks. Everything else held up amazingly and here I found the best deal price wise. Got a 1.5 L water camel pack as well and fit perfectly.
