Best steamer ever!
I just purchased this steamer and I have no regrets. I previously had two different steam mops and they were okay but both died. This Dupray unit did a wonderful job on my kitchen floors after we had some renovations. There was grime everywhere and I used the grout attachment, I was blown away. I don’t remember the growl ever looking that color after I was done. I also used it on our shower doors and bathroom floor and everything is just so nice and clean now. Easy to use, and has good instructions with it. I like the fact that it’s lightweight as well. This was well worth the money!

I’m Glad I Purchased The NEAT!
UPDATE I’ve been using the NEAT for some carpet cleaning jobs (quite a few actually) and it has been great so far.I’ve been able to clean two and three bedroom apartments, and small homes with one fill of the reservoir, and actually haven’t run into a situation where I’ve run out of steam and had to refill, so the runtimes ar actually really good.The amount of steam, and the dryness (?) has been fine for what I’ve used it for, and when you pause to allow it to reheat (which isn’t really necessary, I just do it when I move the unit) it generally is ready again in less than a minute.I’ve been using the floor cleaning pads to clean carpets by putting some elastic hair ties around to keep the pad from being able to move, and it glides smoothly over even thick carpets, and generates plenty of heat (remember that this is a contact steamer, so a few inches away from the nozzle the steam is actually cooled quite a bit, so it’s best to use attachments that keep you in direct contact to what you are cleaning).So below is my initial impression of the NEAT…I purchased this and it arrived in less than a week. It was in one well packed box, and the unboxing experience was fine.I noticed it had a swivelling floor nozzle, unlike the rigid one earlier reviewers had complained about, so it can easily maneuver to get behind and around toilets and other fixtures when cleaning.All of the individual accessories seem to be of high quality and fit well together and overall the NEAT has a nice modern appearance. The white color has a good durable look to it, and it will be easier to keep looking clean than some other brands in this price range with more contours and crevices that will trap grit and look shabby after a while (this is important for me as I use equipment in customers homes, and having your cleaning equipment looking shiny and new lends to your appearance, so hard to keep clean equipment makes more work for me to maintain it).It got to operating temperature in under 8 minutes, and even when used with the trigger lock on maintains adequate temperature and pressure and recovery time is fast enough for me.I used it for floors and carpets and it worked great. On carpets I found the floor pads work best as they simply glide over most carpet. Stubborn carpets where the pad doesn’t glide easily, I simply put velcro straps towards the end of the floor tool around the pad to hold it in place and that fixed the problem (you can easily find double sided velcro in cut to length strips and make the parts you need, as well as use the same velcro in longer lengths to wrap the cord and hose if you don’t want to use the cord wrap under the unit, which I don’t use).I have used it to clean other items, with some success on some, and on other items, I found that steamers aren’t the best option. An old microwave oven that no one had cleaned in about ten years (with old chili and spaghetti sauce etc that had been in place for years) was no match for the steam and everything came loose and could be easily wiped out. But a fiberglass shower that also hadn’t been cleaned in ten years, with a heavy buildup of thick soap scum, and hard water stains didn’t respond too much to steam (and had to be cleaned with hand scrapers). So some things can be cleaned with steam, and in fact are the only way you’d really want to clean them, while some things aren’t worth the time and mess that steamers create for the slow headway you’d make using one.They are good on carpets, and upholstery cleaning, but on hard floors you may want o have a microfiber mop or wet/dry vac because they can leave floors wet. Hot dry steam hitting cool hard floors will cause condensation, and this moisture has to be either accepted as a by product, and you allow the floors to air dry, or you need to deal with the moisture with a mop or some other means. No big deal once you understand how it works.I love the NEAT so far, and Dupray has been a pleasant company to buy from. I have contacted customer service a couple of times, and they were helpful. One call was to ask the PSI of the unit (50 psi), and another was to see if an extension cord could be used ( one rated for 1500 watts, and 12.5 amps @ 110v is acceptable). They respond to by the next day or better, and phone calls are usually immediate, or they will call back within a few hours.Overall I would give this product highest marks in all categories, and Dupray is a pleasant departure from the average to poor customer service that is normal for most outfits these days.If you are in the market for one, and can’t decide between this unit and a competitor, I recommend going with Dupray!

I’m ammending my original review after having done way too much research and experimenting with steamer cleaners.First, No matter which machine you but, they are mostly all made in one of two or three factories. This is made by Techno Vap in Italy. They also make Daimer units. The primary differences between units are pressure, tank size and number and temperature. The higher the pressure a unit produces, the hotter the water gets before it turns to steam. Once you know these facts, it’s really a question of what features you need in order to decide what product to buy.This unit will do everything the $1000+ units will do… It may just take you a bit longer.I bought this having never owned a steamer before and quickly decided I need this more than a vaccum I have a large home with almost 10,000sqft of travertine flooring, six baths and two kitchen areas. Realizing that this tank is very small for the whole house, I still like it for small jobs and I now use it in the guest house so I don’t need to drag the bigger unit over there.The tank on this holds about a half gallon if you bleed it out completely when you fill the tank. Unfortunately, there is no indicator of how much water remains in the tankat any point in time (which is true of most steamers although I don’t really understand the why). With no indication of how much water you have left in the steamer at any given point in time, If you’re doing a big cleaning job, plan to work for about an hour then break when the steam runs out to allow this machine to heat up a fresh tank. If you completely run the tank out before refilling you don’t have to wait for it to cool down before removing the cap… It took a while to figure this out and I’m glad I did! It saves a ton of time if you need to refill it.I know there are a lot of questions about using cleansers with or in these units. Dupray says certain liquids can be run through the machine, however, many professionals reccommend NOT running anything through the machine as it may affect the tank and shorten the life of hte heating element and thus the entire unit. Personally, having tried it both ways, I just don’t see the need. Even doing a commercial style kitchen with this unit, running anything through the machine didn’t make it clean any faster or any better than just water. If you really have something tough, like gum, then you may want to spray something on the area, but it’s really more about the accessory you’re cleaning with than the cleanser.THE IMPORTANCE OF THE ATTACHMENT! One thing I’ve really learned is that these aren’t designed to “mop” a floor clean if it has deep dirt. You’re going to want a brush or detail type attachment to get the dark spots off. Maybe if your grout is sealed you may be able to keep your floors cleaner than I can keep mine, but the floor head is only going to get up surface dirt. However, that doesn’t make this a bad idea at all. Even the small detail brush on this unit will go through grout lines in a snap. Even filthy grout (and mine gets gross fast!) goes much faster than I thought it would. Once I decided to try the brushes on the grout I was shocked by what I could get up. Even some of the excess mud that was used to fill the tumbled travertine and wasn’t removed properly when the house was built ten years ago came off easily! My floors didn’t look this clean when the house was built! We can actually walk around with socks and not get the feet black in an hour! That seriously never happened, even with the cleaners with truck mounted pressure washer units I used to hire every year.Yes, I still wish the cord was longer, but I’ll live with it for how easy this is to move around the room. Just know if you have a room that’s larger than about 12′ you’ll be moving outlets and yes, you need to unwind the entire cord and slide the machine around, but it’s not as big a deal as I thought it was after using it only a couple of times… After having tried many machines, this one REALLY stands out in value.Another consideration is the cost of replacing the brushes. Dupray is pretty reasonable at about $2.90 per head. Additional accessories are also available on their site if you want things like stainless steel brush etc you can also get them at Daimler to fit this model’s “steam lance” (The wand with the small hole at the end that the detail brushes fit over.)It’s size and price are terrific. It’s a plastic body… and I don’t know how long it will last. I’ve used it all day, every day for more than a month now – which in hours is probably more than most residential uses would use it in a year and it’s still working as well as the day I bought it. For the money, if mine past on tomorrow, I’d still be happy with it. Just keep in mind that some of the factors that determine pricing on steamers include the body- plastic on this, the heating element, which is not removable on this, and the tank, aluminum and not stainless on this. Even full, it’s light and it’s not hard to carry. By comparison to similarly priced units the attachments are AWESOME!!! This was a HUGE advantage for this machine! McCulloch makes a unit that costs almost twice as much but the attachments feel MUCH cheaper than this unit! It you use the right attachment, you don’t need to scrub, but steam is hot and the heavy material stays cooler. My granite kitchen island is 15’x22′ and I can put the squeegee on the extension wand and go from one side to the other without ANY difficulty- which for me almost justifies having this unit on hand in itself. PADS: Another thing I really love and can’t overstate the GENIUS of the clip that allows this unit to use almost any towel. I literally have seven different types of microfiber “mop covers” from assorted other failed attempts to find a compact floor cleaner. This is absolutely the best feature this machine offers! The first day I used the machine I went through every pad and towel I had and every one of them worked. The clips are solid, they will hold a towel that is a bit too large, even folded in quarters, and it doesn’t slip as you mop.BOTTOM LINE: You need to know how much you’re willing to spend. If your budget is X, and this fits, you’ll likely find this is the best unit in the price point. Dupray makes more expensive units, as does Daimer and several other companies and it’s really just a question of what features you need in a given price point to be happy with the product. This unit should be able to do anything most residential users could ever want. I would be glad to answer questions.

Itâs a great steamer that is intuitive and easy to use. Easy to fill and to move around. A great way to wash floors and truly excellent for descaling bathrooms!As other reviewers noted, itâs a mystery why there is no indicator of water level on the machine. That would be an obvious and useful feature to add. I would also like a better tool for carpet cleaning.Otherwise all good – great power and easy to use. Definitely worth it!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE My new steam cleaner! Heats fast, works amazing so far. I received it today and cleaned my windows with it. No more scrapping to get the fly poo off. Sparkly and streak free! I live on a farm and flies are terrible this time of year, LOVE this machine!I have used my steam cleaner a few times now, microwave, bathroom taps, kitchen taps, water cooler and garbage can have all been sanitized.This machine has cut my cleaning costs by more than 75% and I feel confident itâs clean! I had previously owned another steamer, not Dupray brand, purchased through Amazon, which turned out to be deficient and which I had to return (the hose became detached during use, burning my hand). But I could see the potential, if only I could find the most efficiency at the best price. Main must-haves were: sturdy, high water capacity for protracted cleaning, high temperature and high pressure steam, and not much more than $200.Dupray’s NEAT steamer meets all criteria. I can’t see how any other unit could be as well-built and perform as well, without getting into the high-end commercial steamers costing $1K and up.First of all, delivery was more than fast – the item arrived three days early (a day and a half after ordering.) So that was a Christmas-comes-early bonus, maybe I was just lucky.I noted first of all when unboxing that the unit seemed brand new – even though I had taken advantage of an advertised “Used – very good condition” opportunity. I would never have known it was used at all. Everything was pristine.The unit itself is an attractive and minimal white cube which has a confidence-inspiring weight to it, while being quite manageable. It feels solid. There’s a convenient retractable handle on top, and the cord wraps around a cord-wrangling bit underneath. I noticed right away that, instead of needing a funnel to fill the unit with water, the pressure valve sits at the bottom of a funnel-shaped depression on the top. Brilliant design feature that no one else seems to have thought of. When I unscrewed the pressure valve I was impressed again – the male/female connections are in metal (copper?), not just plastic.I tried it out and so far I’m very impressed by the steam, the high pressure (there’s very little noise from the actual unit, but the force of the steam is apparent from the sound) and it’s making short work of several tasks around the kitchen.The attachments and extension tubes are easy to assemble. It takes 40 oz of water, which gives at least 30 to 40 minutes of continual cleaning. The wand has a button for continuous steam so you don’t have to use the trigger continually. Just fill with water (NOTHING ELSE except water) and the unit displays a big, orange light which changes to green when it’s ready to go. The steam reaches a max of 275F, which is awesome.So far I’m super pleased with my purchase and impressed with Dupray – I think Dupray is the brand to go with. They certainly have built a solid and impressive product in this household-grade steamer.
