I got this automated cat feeder for my outdoor feral cats. We’ve been doing feeding Manually by placing food on a dish, but the problem is other cats or raccoons will come by eat the food. Also, I wasn’t sure what to do when I go away on vacationSo I was looking for a automated cat feeder that I can set on a timer, but also that I can control with my phone as well There are many automated cat feeders out there, but the Wi-Fi and remote control aspect is what made the LAMPICK Feeder stand outOk Let’s get to the details: The feed itself is made out of durable hard plastic. It isn’t brittle and won’t break if it gets tipped over. It’s powered by a USB cord that attaches to an AC adapter There is also battery back up, which is nice so that the feeder will still work even if there’s a power outageThe top has a locking lid with two locks, which is really nice so your pets won’t try and get a larger portion than what you have specified for them. The lid also has a holder for a desiccant and comes with one packet already so that food doesn’t get too humid and clump up or get moldyThe reservoir is pretty and can store several days worth of food. The nice thing about this feeder is the reservoir and twist off to make cleaning easier It locks pretty tight and there’s no way any can twist off the reservoirThe feeding tray can also be removed so it can be cleaned. It snaps into place so won’t be able to be moved by your pets. The feeding tray isn’t made of metal but again hard plastic that won’t break.Set up and download of the app is super easy using the Quick guide The instructions are very simple and you can easily set up multiple schedules specifying down to the minute what time of day you want a feeding to occur and how many portions So you can do up to 10 different feeds per day with different portion sizes. You can also specify if the feeding is only certain days of the week or every day — I like this flexibility because it allows me to set it for feeds only on certain days when I know I’m gonna be away but not feed when I’m home.The unit itself, unfortunately doesn’t have a way to manually program or set the schedule— It all has to be done through the appThe machine does beep when it dispenses the food and that may be a good or bad thing, depending upon how sensitive your pets are. I guess the pets may recognize the beep sound as an indication of feeding time It’s not loud, but it is noticeableOverall, this is a very solid pet feeder and seems very durable and accomplishes exactly what I needed to do and gives me the convenience controlling the feeds and feeding time from the convenience of my phone. In my specific case, I can watch on my video camera to see when my cats come by and then do a manual feed. With other Automated feeders, the food would just get dispense and sometimes other cats or raccoons would end up eating the food before my cats can get to it. This will solve that problem

For our pet that likes to eat at 5:30 am, this feeder is perfect! Easily programmed with an ample sized hopper to store food, this little miracle provides us with an additional hour sleep. Don’t be alarmed at the price, this unit is well made and Highly recommended.

over all this seems to be a very good product! the set up took a minute to figure out but after that it’s super easy to use!

I like the fact that it gives you options of how much food to feed the cat. It was a little difficult to figure out the instructions. But once it was figured out I love the way it works..
