Good for multi cat households
We got this bowl for our kitten. Her new brothers are both overweight and love kitten food. I bought this bowl as a way for her to eat kitten food in peace. Now that she’s got it figured out (maybe 2 days), it works great.
The lid is fairly quiet but can be a bit startling until they get used to it. I chose this model because it was one of the few that does not beep every time it closes. The bowl is in the living room, so that was an important factor.
It worked so well for her, my husband decided that the boys each needed one to encourage weight loss. While they are not too happy to be wearing collars, it is working out ok. The one problem is that our eldest is a messy eater. He leaves crumbs all over and that can sometimes impede the closing of the lid. It has no real oomph behind it (for safety reasons, I presume) so the crumbs cause issues. We have to clean something out of the way every day.
The app is easy enough to navigate but is only designed for one user. I signed up for the account plus added it to my husband’s phone. Each time he uses the app, I have to re-log in to mine and vis versa. Luckily, the app works with the face recognition on my phone for quick log in.

Works well!
I bought two as I have two cats – a 10 year old and six month old – that are on two different foods. These work very well, and both cats immediately took to them. They are a little large but they do so much. I took the side panels off, though, and just set the lids to close faster and it seems to do the trick. My kitten has pawed at the other cat’s lid but it stays pretty securely in place and doesnt let him in. It was incredibly easy to set up, both out of packaging and with the app. The lids opening and closing are fairly quiet, and I shut off the meal call. The loudest part of the whole thing is when the food drops into the bowl.
I took the RFID tags off the collars and put them on the collars they already have – its nice they include a key ring to be able to do this.
The food capacity is awesome – it says it holds enough for 2 weeks but depending on how often you feed your cats and how much, it could be much longer. You can set schedules in the app that automatically dispenses food, and can adjust the schedule easily, or just do a manual “feed now” option.
My biggest complaint – which actually is kind of a benefit as well – is that this slowed my cats eating down fairly considerably – they’re not always begging for food anymore or running to the machine when it drops food because the bowl always has food in it. However, because of that slow down, the outlet often gets blocked as the new food coming down doesn’t have anywhere to go. I’m constantly adjusting the schedule and having to clear the blockage (easy – just open the lid and brush the food out of it). I really just need to change their feeding schedules to fix the issue but I’ve been lazy about it.
It also measures in 12ths, and it seems to throw out much more food than we normally used to give our cats, even if I adjusted it to a quarter cup or less. But that’s not a terrible thing for us since our cats don’t eat it all in one sitting.
All in all – I’m very happy with these. The bulky design is forgiven for all that it does, letting us be a bit more hands off with the dry food part of their diet. I believe these are worth the money and would absolutely buy again if needed.
*My cats eat Hills Science Diet Adult Indoor, kitten is eating 1-6, 10 year old eating 7+, both come through the feeder easily.

Good feeder; not pet-proof
On the whole, we like the feeder. It’s easy to set up, and delivers small portions. The collar sensor works great. At a glance it’s perfect for letting our little cat eat in peace without the big cats butting in.
If you have multiple pets who are all well behaved, this is a great option.
.. If your pets are well behaved you probably don’t need the $150 feeder.
Our cats are out to test the build quality of this thing, and from day one it has lost the battle.
They pop the side barriers off from around the bowl area. It snaps into place, but can easily be popped right back out.
They claw the lid from it’s “latched” position. The very first day, they tore the silicon trim around the lid at the latch.
Our little kitty has special prescribed kibbles, which is why we need the special feeder, to keep the big (punks) out of her bowl. Her kibbles are just small enough they get stuck in the little space where the lid should latch closed. I get multiple alerts a day that the lid can’t close, and have to manually clear it. The big kitties have learned to just wait for the lid to not close completely, and pry it up easily.
Which brings us to the buttons. They’re not labeled; they’re touching screen icons. We had to go out of town the first week; we had someone coming over daily to check on the critters and he had trouble with the feeder. I hadn’t left the manual out (why would I?), and he couldn’t immediately identify which icon does what. One of said buttons is a WI-FI RESET?!?! He thought that was the manual feed and instead of serving kibbles I lost all remote connection to the machine AND IT CLEARED OUT THE FEEDING SCHEDULE. My cat did not receive her scheduled feedings for four days before we figured that out. There’s plenty of room on the face to add keywords. I guess I’m hitting it with the label maker. (That reset button needs to be in back or below with the batteries.)
Oh, and the touchscreen buttons? Thank goodness one is a long press lock/unlock, because I’ve heard one of the cats tap them while trying to break in. It’s only a matter of time until she figures it out.
Aaaand hope she doesn’t lose the collar ’cause you only get the one tag.
The dispenser itself works as well as the $50 dispenser we now use for the other cats. It may not have Wi-Fi and a fancy display, but it does have its feeding schedule programmed directly into the machine.
TLDR: very pretty feeder, not very durable. Functions as well as cheaper models, but needed the collar/chip option. Making it work.

The device works well for the most part and fulfills it’s use as an auto feeder plus rfid tagger so only one of my cats can eat from it.
However there seems to be a touch sensitivity and button placement issue, whereby once I unlock the touch buttons (they are by default locked) there are ghost inputs. The worst part is the lid open button is right next to the reset button, so when I tried to manually open the lid, the ghost input instead kept resetting the device causing me to redo the whole setup a few times.
Also for a device that cost that much perhaps it would not be too much to ask that a camera come equipped so we can see which pet is using the feeder rather than rely on the rfid tracker which can be wildly inaccurate at times; I have seen a few instances where my cat was eating from it but the app says it has not used the feeder.
