More a foundation than skin tint. On my dry skin semi-matte finish looks more matte.
This comes in a nice outer product box. It’s made in Italy. Ingredients are listed on packaging.It’s in a plastic bottle with a pointed tip. You squeeze the bottle for the product to come out. I’d prefer a pump, but that’s personal preference.This has some lofty claims – blurred and flawless, blurring pores, dark spots, and uneven texture for super smooth base; second skin, ultra lightweight, long-wearing up to 12 hours; hydrating; light to medium coverage; airbrushed effect; your skin but better results.I found it kind of interesting it was claiming to be hydrating and give a hint of glow while also claiming to be semi-matte. Semi-matte to me is not full on matte like flat matte that can look drying. But, matte enough where it sets on its own and doesn’t look glowy but more of a kind of natural skin look.Given it claimed light to medium coverage, I was expecting more of a foundation than a skin tint, and that’s exactly what it turned out to be. You can use a small amount and apply with a damp sponge to get really light coverage that’s more along the lines of a skin tint. But, to me, this is a light to medium coverage foundation.It has a thin consistency. It’s creamy. Applies onto the skin nicely and blends easily with fingers, sponge, or brush. With a brush I get the most coverage with the least amount of product. It blends into the skin nicely giving good coverage with 1 layer – covers my redness, post acne marks, and reduces appearance of the sun spots on my cheeks.With a second layer, I get pretty good coverage over my sun spots, though they still peeked through. But, they were only really noticeable when you were closer to me. From a distance, they weren’t noticeable at all. So I guess this blurred the dark spots in that they were less noticeable, but didn’t cover them. But once I applied a little concealer there, they were gone completely.It looked nice on the skin. But, I don’t think it did anything for uneven texture. It’s a foundation. It doesn’t take away texture. If anything, it can emphasize it. A thin layer of this with another layer built up in the areas I needed it (my sun spots) looked nice on my skin – not cakey or heavy. Looked smooth. But, it didn’t reduce texture. The areas where I had texture before applying this still had texture after. But, that didn’t surprise me. But, wanted to mention it for those who might expect it given the claims.To me, this looks more matte than semi-matte. It dries down on its own and didn’t need set with powder. It wasn’t hydrating at all. My skin has been really dry with the cold weather. If I prepped my skin really well before this, it didn’t look too dry on my skin. But, if my skin wasn’t moisturized really well beforehand, this made it look really dry.This lasted throughout the day well. I didn’t wear it for 12 hours, but it did last for about 8.5 hours without coverage fading.The shade wasn’t a good match for me. It was too dark and way too orange looking.Overall, I do like this. It gives good coverage, looks nice on the skin, and lasts well. It doesn’t suddenly make texture disappear. Foundations (or skin tints) aren’t going to do that. But, it does look nice on my skin (as long as I moisturize my skin well before). If you’re looking for light to medium foundation, then I’d recommend this. If you’re looking for more of a skin tint, this could be that, but you’re going to need to use a very small amount unless you’re looking for coverage you’d get from a foundation. It’s also not moisturizing like one might expect from seeing it’s a “tinted moisturizer.” On my dry skin, the semi-matte finish turns into more of a matte finish but it doesn’t look bad unless I don’t moisturize well first. I give it 4 stars.
