Sturdy Design That Doesn’t Add Bulk
Whenever I buy cases, I look for something that will protect my phone without adding too much bulk while also showcasing the beauty of the device. I feel as though ESR paid attention to these things and provided a case that is both high-quality and compliments instead of overshadowing the device.GripI have sweaty hands, and I am happy to say the phone case provides enough grip that it did not slip out of my hand, nor did I feel as though it might at any point in time.KickstandThough I never really use kickstands because my phone is always on some mount, I am happy to see that the kickstand is not made of cheap plastic. I am not sure if it is aluminum or some other metal alloy, but it feels of quality, and flipping it open and closed has this very satisfying feeling that you get from a well-constructed component. At no point did I think to myself that this kickstand would eventually break.The kickstand is flush with the device, so you don’t have to worry about something sticking out in the back as you hold the phone.When I took the case out of the box, one of the main things I wanted to see was if the case felt cheap. I can say the case has a quality feel that provides enough cushion to protect the phone. The kickstand feels very sturdy and not flimsy like most I have used from other brands.ClarityI know that clear cases can be hit or miss because of yellowing, even when they have anti-yellowing technology. It is just the world we live in. But I feel as though the case has a clarity to that even if it is slightly yellow, it won’t be as bad as some others I have used.I will try to revisit this later in the future to let you know if/when this effect starts to happen.The only thing I wish is that the case could have incorporated the Magsafe rings. I feel that everything today associated with the iPhone seems to naturally have MagSafe rings. If you don’t care about this or hate the look of the MagSafe ring, then I feel you are safe with this case if you want clarity, a kickstand, and a nice grip.

A great case
This case has worked well for me – at least for about 2-2.5 years. At about the 2-2.5 year mark, the kickstand really only had 2 positions: fully open or fully closed (it became very loose). So, I think this is reasonable and within the expectations (I think it was 2000) set in the description. I would have liked for it to last longer – but that is reality.What I liked about this stand is that it did allow for multiple positions (at least for the first couple of years), it allowed for wireless recharging (albeit it had to be in just the right position – so it took a bit of adjusting to get it in the right position), and it allowed for enough of a metallic plate to be put underneath to make it work with the magnetic car vent holders. The case also held up well over the 3+ years I have had it – the outside looks almost new. I am considering getting another one – I would like to have all the same features described above but have the kickstand work longer and be a bit more stiff or difficult to move from one position to another and I would like the wireless recharge circle to be a bit larger. So far though, this is about the best I have found.UPDATE: I did get a new one of these to replace my old one. However, once I got the new one, I decided to play around a bit with the old one to see if I could “fix” the kickstand that was very loose (only had 2 positions, fully opened or fully closed). I decided to try and put some superglue in the hinged portion (see picture0 of the kickstand. After doing this a few times (drying and exercising the hinge in-between), I was able to get the hinge to work much like it did when it was new. So, something to try if you wear out the hinge to the point that it is very loose.

Best kickstand case I’ve ever had
I’ve been using this case for almost 10 months and the kickstand still works like new. With every other stand I’ve used, the hinge loosens in a couple of months and then it’s time for a replacement. This one is designed really well and is solid.The case has also done a great job in saving my phone from damage. My phone took a pretty violent impact that was strong enough to shatter the screen (with the screen protector unscratched) and there was no damage to the sides or back of my phone: just some scratches on the case.The only negative thing I can say about the case is that the softer plastic parts have yellowed a bit. I was hoping the reviews I read that warned of this occurring were “history,” but it happened to me. In contrast, I bought two clear Speck cases for two other phones I bought at the same time and neither has yellowed.

Good value for the price
This is my second cover. The kickstand is nice and the cover protects my phone just enough when I drop it.Durability – the case was fine however the kickstand broke at about 1.5 yrs of constant use. I could still make it work – just aggravating. However the clear case did start to yellow as well so I decided to replace it.

Great case
Bought for my 14 year old who is very hard on her iPhone. It fits well and seems to hold up to her constant battering. The kickstand is just an added bonus for when she is willing to unclench it from her grip and set it down.

Compact and convenient
This is the second or third case Iâve purchased, I love it! Itâs such a good find. The stand isnât too heavy and is small, sleek, and compact. It also doesnât lose its strength with time. The only thing though is that the case itself does start to get yellow after 6 months- thatâs when I replace it.

This ESR case fits my iPhone 14 plus really well, and the stand is also great. I can use the stand to set up the phone in both portrait and landscape mode, and in landscape, I can set it up both ways up — one way, I can adjust the tilt, and the other way, it stays at a comfortable viewing angle. One really good thing about the case is that it doesn’t wobble on it’s back, as even though there is a bump where the stand packs into the case, there is also a bump protecting the cameras at the top of the phone which is at the same height, which helps the case to be stable on its back. It feels premium. However, I need to see how it fares over time. For now, it looks good, had a good grip and the stand is great.

Iâve owned a case from ESR before and Iâve been attached to their design ever since. I wanted to test this case before giving it a proper review and so far itâs been good! Iâve even dropped my phone once or twice and the case has kept my phone safe. The stand comes in super handy and it works both horizontally and vertically. I also personally like the added texture on the case.
