I’m sure it works for military dog tags.. but was hoping it’d fit a dog rabies tag
Update 9-10-24My state changes rabies tag shape every year apparently. These work great for the sort of heart/shield shaped rabies tags, just not the oval shaped ones.I’m sure these fit military dog tags just fine. I was kind of hoping, based on the shape and rough size that they’d stretch to fit the oval shaped dog rabies shot tags to silence the clanking. They kind of work but not really as it’s a bit too round and less oval even when slightly stretched. But, that’s not really a fair review of the product as that’s not what they’re advertised for. Just more of a FYI for anyone who had the same idea. The product itself seems like it’d be fine for the advertised usage.

Custom Stamping.
I like to custom stamp my own tags and if you go with a thinner size, these are great. I didn’t try them with a thicker tag because mine already have borders on them, but if you’re using them to line something slightly smaller like I was, these are perfect!

Tag silencer
It works well and molds good to any form but wish they had different sizes.

Great buy!
My bf really liked these! They pop off task easy at first but after awhile they’re great!

They work well, but they’re not very durable.
I bought GI style tags for my dogs and bought these so the clinking wouldn’t get annoying. They work, but they just don’t hold up to daily wear for dogs. I’m not even sure they made it a month. If you’re looking for something durable, this ain’t it.

Perfect for 1.38″ round “military” dog tags
They are sturdy, well cut, and fit my needs perfectly. I needed buffers to keep my Malcolm Reynolds “military” dog tags from whacking my windshield glass, while off road, and these fit the bill. I tried some I had from years past, but they were no longer elastic enough to hug the 1.38″ round. Now I only get the occasional quiet/understated thump with the peace of mind I am far less likely to chip my glass. If my tags were any smaller than 1.38″ round, these would have been too big. The tags fit exactly inside, with no gap, and with no stretching of the surround material (save for when slipping in the tags). They are better quality than any I have ever purchased for my standard oblong military dog tags.

My dog no longer jingles
Used these in the military for my dog-tags, and my dog uses them also. One of his metal tags are sort of square so it tore through on each corner of the rubber of the silencers within a week. I recommend just filing down any sharp/square corners of your metal tags before putting one of the silencers on.

Does not fit standard dog tags
These are way bigger than a standard dog tag. They dog tags fall right out. Useless.
