Don’t believe the “easy to assemble”
I ordered three of these Keter outdoor storage boxes and wanted to buy from a company with a good reputation for quality and the box had to be waterproof and not allow water into the box. I bought the 150 gallon box which is 61″ long. IMO they are “easy” to assemble if you are handy and have no difficulty assembling large pieces such as this. It was so frustrating attempting to assemble the first box I ended up hiring an experienced handyman who put all three of the 150 gallon boxes together in 1 hour at a very reasonable cost. I have a larger storage box ordered and plan to have the same handyman assemble it since he CAN do the job in 15–20 minutes. The instructions for assembling one of these storage boxes shows the steps but no text to explain what you are supposed to do in words rather than mere drawings. Keter has a very good reputation for quality and durability but in direct sunlight for years pictures in reviews show some fading of the darker colored boxes. An advantage of these boxes is that they are very versatile—you can sit on them for extra seating, use them as a table, store things you don’t have room for in your house, store outdoor sports equipment and cushions plus you can put a strong padlock on the front to keep the lid from opening in strong winds, keep children from climbing into the box and to deter theft. One review I read before buying the box said if the box is in direct sun the top gets hot and suggested you put a waterproof cushion on top for sitting on the box—-I bought a 59″ waterproof outdoor cushion for the top. I would have preferred to have the location for the padlock to be on a side or the back rather than the front to hide the padlock from view. Two or three people can sit on the top, you can stand on it, it is very stable and made well. I highly recommend this storage box, it is a good value for the price.NOTE: If you decide to hire an experienced handyman to assemble the box be aware that the cost to hire someone varies considerately—three people responded to my ad—one wanted $80 each; one would do it for $60 each and the one I hired charged me $75 ($25 each) to put all three together.

Yes, I actually spent my own money purchasing this product for full retail price, and I’m happy I did!When the box arrived it was intimidating since I assumed I was going to be subjected to hours of tortuous assembly, but it’s able to be snapped together in just a few minutes with only a few screws to install hardware. I’d estimate that I had it together in about five minutes, and I assembled it in the foyer of my home.Then came my concern that I was going to have to move the product outside from my foyer, and I thought it was going to be cumbersome and heavy, but it’s very lightweight. Not so lightweight that it can be impacted from wind or inclement weather, but just right for ease of repositioning. Even my wife was able to easily adjust it when she decided that my decorating tastes outside left a lot to be desired and she needed to relocated it. When you look at it, it looks like a substantial piece of furniture.Next concern became durability and stability since it was so light, so I took a squat on the top as it’s advertised as suitable seating, and I am pleased to report that I did not fall through, crack the molded plastic, experience any bends in the material, etc. I’m around 185 pounds, and I won’t disclose my wife’s weight in fear that she would ever read this, but we both sat comfortably on the top of it. Now, since we purchased it to store our cushins for our patio set, I imagine it won’t see a lot of usage this way, but it’s nice to know it can be used for seating in a pinch in case we host a party.Appearance-wise, it’s of very high quality. The plastic injected molding they use really mimics the appearance of composite wood, even down to the “grain” in the product. It’s easy on the eyes, and looks like you spent a heck of a lot more than you did for the product.Opening and closing is made easy with the pistons, and it latches nicely, with an option to lock if you’d like. It holds upper and lower cushions for 8 chairs with space to spare.If you like the look of this, which is probably why you clicked on it, you’ll be happy with your purchase. For the money, I feel like I got a heck of a lot more quality than if I had spent a similar amount of money on a comparable product at a local retail store.

Wonderful Storage
I bought this for my patio cushion’s and though it does not fit them all, it is great, waterproof and looks great on my deck. I had my handyman put it together and he did it in minutes. Very easy to push from one place to the next.

Good quality storage box that will hold a lot of patio and gardening supplies. Smart looking. It can be locked. The lid is sturdy and easy toOpen and close.
