Great idea
Great product. I covered the cubes my cat used as a scratching post. Works really well.

Won’t Work as Well on Walls (and other smooth surfaces)
It definitely works, although I found it to be more than a bit unsightly. I think it is perhaps better utilized as protection for sofas & chairs etc. I bought this to use on my walls, particularly the corner posts, but found myself having stick it back on in certain areas due to the adhesive giving way to changes in atmosphere. I eventually pulled it all down except for one piece and switched to the spray instead. Would consider it again if it came in different colors other than burlap.

Doesnât come off.
Bought this to protect my brand new couch from my cat. It served its purpose for that, but less than two months later I decided to return the couch and removing it left horrible sticky residue everywhere it had been. Now I have to attempt to remove that without damaging the fabric, and it covers a HUGE area. Also my couch has proven to be fairly pet proof so I would have been completely better off without it. Do yourself a favor and if thereâs ANY chance you will want to take it off, DONT BUY IT. I might be out a $4000 couch because of this crap.

Burlap
This is ok if you know what you’re getting beforehand. It’s like a burlap sack, but just a sheet of it, with adhesive on one side. I wish they wouldn’t have marketed it as a “furniture protector” because it’s really too thin to be of much use in that regard. One of my cats, the one who likes to scratch everything up, has serious claws – unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. And, whereas she won’t use regular scratching posts, she actually seems to like this and is scratching more where I used it. Therein lies the issue. The spots I’m trying to protect do have a little protection, but now they’re getting lots more attention from her. I’m afraid I’m encouraging the behavior I don’t want. There are other reviews from people who used it to refresh their scratch posts and cat trees or added it to other cat-friendly areas, and I think that’s the sweet spot for this. I can see it working well for those applications.I was kind of torn between 4 and 5 stars because I feel a little misled by the name. However, it’s doing what it says it does and is as described, so I’m leaving it at five stars.

Not sticky enough but does the job mostly
I was worried that the adhesive wouldn’t adhere well to my faux leather arm chair, and I was right. I had to supplement with duct tape to get it to stay. But it’s doing the job of protecting the chair from (more) damage. My cat was leery at first (maybe it smelled funny to him though it didn’t to me) but now he’s clawing away at it, as planned. It’s been a few weeks and the material is looking slightly worse for the wear but that’s what I figured — this is a consumable item. I only used part of the roll; when he tears through this bit, I’ll replace it with more of the same.

Great for cat furniture
I used this to cover particle board for a cat scratching post. Itâs like a sturdy burlap. The adhesive backing is strong, but I still needed to use a glue gun to get it to stick firmly to the wood. One star off because it only came in one size, which wasnât wide enough so I had to layer. Itâs perfect for this scratching post instead of hard to clean carpet. If I were using it on a sofa arm, it would stick fine for that.

Nice replacement
I used this to replace the twine on a cat tower. It was easy enough to cut through the fabric to create the correct size need to wrap around the supports. The adhesive is light enough that it can be removed and replaced easily, in my case I added some hot glue for a more permanent replacement. It works well and the cats seem to have no issues with the replacement material for scratching, and it seems somewhat durable as well. I’d be interested in trying to put some on the couch sides, but I also don’t want to encourage the cats to scratch in that area.Overall, cost effective and easier replacement than using twine. Saves on time also

The fabric is a very thin layer
I thought the fabric would have been a little bit more thicker. However, it does stick and easy to peel off the backing.
