Bought 2 for me and my wife to try out and we enjoyed it. The magnets were strong and we pulled plenty of items from a pond and a creek. Would highly suggest for beginners wanting to go magnet fishing.

Great Product and Supportive Seller
I got my magnet fishing kit last month and this week finally had time to take it out for a spin. It came with several accessories including a grappling hook which I found to be super helpful. A few hours into my “fishing” I launched the magnet into the water and the rope slipped into the water too. I thought about jumping in after it but Florida’s brackish water is dirty and often had gators so I had to walk away. Fortunately when I contacted the company and explained my situation (with pictures) they were very understanding and promised to send another kit.This is really going above and beyond. I truly appreciate the help they gave me as well as their encouragement to keep trying. This is a solid kit and good seller. Give them, and the hobby itself, a try!

Stronger than I thought
Took it out the first time a few days ago with my daughter. I had tried it out around the house and thought the magnet felt pretty weak. But then went to a bridge and got it accidentally attached to the metal railing of the bridge-I couldnât even get it to move a tiny bit! Magnets are a lot stronger than I first thought! I ended up finding a big chunk of asphalt and used that to hit it and scoot it to the edge of the metal where I could finally remove it. We caught a pair of pliers, a fishhook, and a knife. Not bad for our first time ever trying it! Made some memories with the kiddo-worth the price.

Excellent Magnet!
1st I have to say that I had to purchase 2 of these, as I lost my first one. While magnet fishing I attached to something that was far too heavy for me to pull up on my own. Tried to ‘pully’ it and even had help from two others, no go. These magnets are very powerful! Be careful where you’re fishing, and make sure you don’t cast out too far where you can’t get to it. Only thing I would say is that the gloves don’t do much to keep your hands truly dry. But since this is about the magnet I still gave it 5 stars because the gloves can be replaced.2nd is that ALL the negative reviews about the strength/power seem to come from people that have no idea how to test magnets. Either they’re using the wrong/non magnetic items (silver, gold) or they simply don’t get it. I’ve latched onto a cart and pulled that up. Found signs buried in the mud and with no issues (from the magnet) it never failed to bring it up.

I don’t know what some are talking about saying these are weak. My only guess is they don’t understand how a magnet works and are trying to pick up stuff like aluminum and stainless steel. They also probably don’t understand some items may be metal but are a mixture and if there’s not enough iron in the metal the magnet won’t be as attracted to it. As far as strength? The blood blister on my thumb says it’s pretty dang strong. Do Not get your fingers between the magnet and a piece of metal or you too will have a nice size blood blister. Yes the magnet is strong, the box is nice and it comes with some good quality rope. If you’re looking to have some fun magnet fishing or need to retrieve something from the water this is a good buy.
