Love this stand!
I bought this to hold my iPad on my treadmill. It is clamped to the vertical leg on the treadmill and is adjusted so that the iPad is at eye level when using the treadmill. I added put a bungee around the support bracket and leg for extra support as it fell off the first time I mounted it because I did not tighten the clamp correctly. The rubber pad must go beneath the round screw in the support bracket, not beneath the other side of the bracket (which already has a thin pad on it). The sections of the mount are adjustable 360 degrees by loosening, adjusting the tubes and retightening the threaded collars. Once everything is tightened snugly, the mount is quite stable. I have mine almost fully extended. I added a 2nd bungee that hold it tightly to the back of the treadmill to prevent vibration.I am impressed with the quality of this mount. It is very well made from all aluminum (except for the thumb-screw heads and a collar). The iPad is held tightly and securely by spring clamps on the long side of the iPad and has a space to plug in the charging cable. I almost bought one of the gooseneck mounts and am so glad that I spent a few dollars more and got this far sturdier mount. While it is easy to adjust, it might be a bit cumbersome and not be ideal where one would want to constantly adjust the iPad. For a set and leave it application, it would be great.

Creates a more productive working space.
I have one for each of my iPads and one for my iPhone. It requires a little learning curve for me at least adjusting them so that I can see each of them. It allows me to get them up off the desk and saves a lot of frustration because Iâm always rearranging the cords or tipping over their old stands. It is also giving me about half of my desk back.I am able to touch my screens and process whatever Iâm working on but what are usually go ahead and grab a hold of them just to keep them sturdy as they kind of bounce a little bit. There are three joints all independent in the tubes can turn as well when adjusting them. I imagine just about any configuration as possible however can be frustrating as you hold it in place and tighten it it may move into place maybe lower than you wanted. The last one I tried to use had a gooseneck on it but you would think itâs very easy to adjust however you have to hold onto it with one hand and adjust it with the other mine lasted for only a few moments before I busted it in several pieces. I have mine mounted on the side of my desk and I can turn sideways to my desk and have them stretch out over me while I lean back in my comfortable office chair lol I will probably buy more

Not the best but not the worst
Iâm using this in my van and I had several issues come up that others have mentioned:The ball joint is prone to wearing out and becoming unusable- thereâs two screws that tighten this and one of them is an Allen screw so I think if you lock it into place tightly and leave it there it will be fineOne of the elbows broke at the gears but this could be from me changing position so many times and the vibrations in the vanThe arms loosen easily and donât bite down super tight so not great in the vanIâm buying a second one because itâs still better than the other stands Iâve tried. Just adjust everything and check on it once in a while and it should be fine.

Really Solid and Professional
I use my tablet computer to record video for online classes I teach and as a camera lucida for creating precision drawings. For both of these purposes I need to position the tablet precisely and then lock it securely in position. I have tried a number of other stands and have tried using stuff around the house to hold the tablet with poor results. This stand is worth it. It is solid and well made. The spring loaded holder for the tablet (or phone) is easy to use and fits a wide range of sizes. All that said, let me offer some advice. The instructions that come with the product are a little incomplete. First of all, they are fairly specific about how to put the components together up until the point where you need to attach the part that holds the device to the stand. The instructions tell you to do that, but don’t tell you how. It turns out that there is a rubber nut on the end of the stand that needs to be unscrewed and removed (it does not look like it should be removed). When you remove it, there is a screw inside that fits inside of the device holder head. Once you get that done, spend some time looking at the parts of this and understanding how they bend in relation to each other. One thing I did not initially understand was the knurled rings around the long rods of the stand. I wondered if they telescoped the rods, but that turned out not to be true. They do allow you to turn the rods if you loosen the ring. That is useful when positioning the tablet, but watch out because they are full of lubricant that will get on your hand. Depending on the weight of your device, you need to arrange the arms of the stand to get a reasonable balance, which takes a bit of practice, but that would be true with any of the stands out there.

Broke in 2 Days
This mount was so close to being good, but it wasnât. How can something be simultaneously be too tight and too loose? The answer: I donât know but this mount is the perfect example of just such an object. This thing was so annoying to try to adjust that as I was trying to unmount my iPad so that I could repackage this to send it back, the plastic ball joint broke from two days of torque trying to get this thing adjusted just right. Why both ball joints werenât metal is not just ill conceived, but ill advised. My only wish is that I could send this back twice since my reasoning for doing so doubled in about ten seconds flat.

This is working for us at the moment. IT is quite sturdy and stable when put on a sturdy table. It is a little bit short, so some limitations on versatility, but it is working well for us a the moment.
