I got this because my cat was scratching up my rug and the scratch lounge I usually get her had become too expensive. This is a very aesthetically pleasing alternative for its price point. Very nice quality. Every piece came together beautifully and im posting this late so my cat has already scratched it up alot but this is after weeks of use. It doesnt weigh enough to stay still sometimes when she scratches but placing it like this works well. May not be for you if youâre counting on it standing up tall. But overall very nice. Will definitely buy again.

Cats loved but no replacement cardboard
I received this on 1/24/2024. Both of my kitties have been playing/scratching on this everyday since. Unfortunately, when I woke up this morning I discovered puke on the cardboard. I can’t clean it no matter how hard I try. Sadly, this is going in the trash. If they manufacturer offered replacement cardboards at half the cost, I would buy the replacements with no hesitation. The item is lightweight and has to be placed against a wall or something sturdy, otherwise it tends to topple when the cats stretch up on it. I gave it 3 stars because my cats liked the design and played with it everyday. I took off 2 stars because there’s no option to buy cardboard replacements and it’s too pricey to keep replacing from wear and tear. Wish it would have lasted longer.

Finally a scratcher all 4 cats will use
I have 4 cats and all of them like different things when it comes to their scratchers. One wants to scratch on the floor; one wants to scratch way up high. One likes to get a bit of force behind her wall scratches. The 4th doesn’t care. But they all loved this scratcher. We tried with the tall section up the wall (the preferred setup), the tall section on the floor (is ok, but they mostly just lay on it like a bed), and at an incline (no one used it in this configuration). My only complaint is that as the scratcher got used up, the catnip ball began to fall out (my cats didn’t care; they just chased it down the hall), and neither ball stayed in at all when it was in the incline configuration. But I’ll be ordering this scratcher again for sure.

Flimsy and not worth it
I thought this was a great design for a cat scratcher, but after getting it together, it seems very flimsy. The screws don’t really stay in place that great because they are just screwed into the cardboard. I guess they loosen up, because they were okay at first. The green catnip ball does not fit in the space intended for it: the space is too big to hold it. So, overall, it was not a good buy in my opinion.

Scratchers are always a hit or miss with my two Sphynx cats. This one was a huge hit. I ordered a variety of new scratchers for to prevent my cats from carpet scratching my new apartment(theyâve never been exposed to rug before)As I was unboxing, my cat Nala couldnât wait to get her claws into this. My older cat Cleo also took a great liking to it, and they both enjoy stretching up to scratch.I love the versatility of being able to place it in different areas to create a sense of novelty for my babies. Oh, both the kitties love this thing. They came out as soon as I started putting it together, they scratch on it no problem, love the bell ball and the catnip ball is a HUGE hit. See my video for proof ð both the cats keep doing this. One thing to watch out for is, the little instruction page says at the bottom to be careful and precise with the screws, which generally I am, but REALLY try to line everything up properly the first try. Since youâre screwing into cardboard, the first shot is kinda all you get or itâll be more wobbly and less stable. I also just used my electric screwdriver instead of what came in the box to make it quicker and easier. Great product!

I have 4 cats. It was a bad idea to try to put this together in the same room as them because I was constantly chasing screws they swiped and ran with.It’s sturdy and they liked it. I say liked in past tense because one of them threw up on the scratch board base. It couldn’t be cleaned adequately. Kind of an expensive scratch board for only 3 days but I do recommend.Note that I would have scored it a 5 but I’m still smarting from only having it for 3 days.

This was easy enough to set up, with the two boards and plastic screws, but it seems cheap for the price tag and my cat doesn’t even use it. I am not sure what I was expecting with sprinkling the catnip on it – maybe that some of the boards would hold onto the catnip, but really it just made a mess underneath. For the price of over $40, I was expecting better quality, and it just wasn’t there.

My cat is in love with this! He doesnât really like the usual poles with ropes, but heâs a fan of this. I also love that itâs an L shape, because my little guy stretches upwards sometimes (usually when the after poop zoomies hit) and we wanted to give him an alternative to the couch lol. He hasnât quite figured out he can do that yet though, Iâm thinking heâs confused by the base. My cat isnât that much of a hefty kitty, so I think you shouldnât buy this if yours is any bigger than mine, because the base might not be wide enough for them. Other than that, he likes trying to reach between the gaps and plays with the balls (the catnip one is a hit, he even licks it, thereâs also packets of catnip to sprinkle of the scratcher). So yeah, it was simple enough to build, he loves it enough that he hangs out and sleeps on it often. I recommend, good value and works.
