One of my favorite parts of Tusk was Harley and Lily Rose as the Colleens. So I was uber excited when I heard about Yoga Hosers. If you are a fan of Kevin Smith, you know what you are getting into. If you aren’t, you might find yourself wondering what is going on. Like you walked into a party and you don’t know a soul. Sorry not sorry.My husband asked me how this movie came to be and of course I can talk Smodcast all day long. He knows the origin behind Tusk. Growing up, I didn’t really have any girl power movies. As much as I loved Baby Sitters Club and Now and Then, we didn’t have a Batgirl or anything. Kevin noticed this about Harley’s generation as well. He saw the raw potential in Harley and Lily Rose’s chemistry and continued the world of the Zedd and the two lovely Colleens. A movie where the girl doesn’t have to be a damsel in distress, she can be a total bad ass and save the day.For long time Kevin Smith fans, you’ll find yourself a little teary eyed seeing our girl all grown up. Twice, I had to hold back a sob when she repeats the famous “I’m not even supposed to be here today” line. She’s witty and beautiful and she has perfect comedic timing. And she has Kevin’s ability to turn the smallest facial expressions into art which only adds to the well written comedy. Lily Rose is that brutal combination of beautiful and hilarious. I got the same goose bumps as watching the early Tina and Amy years. These two are shining stars.The first 10 minutes are reminiscent of Clerks, complete with the almost as famous as Stan Lee cameo of Grace Smith. I just adore her. Jen and Vanessa joining in was the best! Talk about having the coolest moms ever. It’s a little bit monster movie, with a dash of Clerks and a shake of hockey and teenage wit. I for one cannot WAIT for MooseJaws.

Great for Kevin Smith fans
I’ve seen it twice.I’ve been a fan Kevin Smith since Clerks and will stay with him ’til he stops giving me things to watch. My son is 17 and as soon as I saw this I knew he’d love it and he did. We both watched Tusk in horrified, awkward glee and were happy to see what Yoga Hosers had to offer. It didn’t disappoint us.This movie is ridiculous, so ridiculous that it’s awesome.If you are a Kevin Smith fan, then give this a shot cause you will get it. If not, then this might not be for you.Just a great reminder not to take things so freaking seriously all the time. Sometimes you have to just let the world fall away and watch it be attacked by tiny nazis made out of bratwurst.

Takes your mind to a whole new level
Just a down right weird fun original mind boggling bowl of laughter. I have always looked for Kevin Smith to give me something new and different (Red State and Dogma are my personal favorites). Tusk took you to the edge but Yoga Hosers just drop kicked you into the abyss. I was fortunate enough to not see any trailers and missed any spoilers. I just rented the film off Amazon based on Smith and what a great night it turned out to be. I had no idea what direction the film was going always keeping my focus and constantly surprising me. Hard to say what the plot is without spoiling the film so I will not go any further than that. People I recommend the film to have taken my word on it. Smithâs directing and writing commands the film but the actors really bring it all to life. The friendship between Depp and Smith transfers great on the screen and Johnny Depp (as in Tusk) brings the quirky Lapointe back to outrageous life. Great performances by all in the cast. I will buy this film on Blu-ray when it comes out and I am really looking forward to the third instalment of this great trilogy.

WHO KNOWS…WHO CARES… IF YOU ARE TIRED OF ALL THE CONSTANT REMAKES BECAUSE THERE ARE NO MORE CREATIVE IDEAS AROUND OR THE FORMULAIC MOVIES THAT ARE MEANT TO SELL IN THE HUMDRUM SAME OLD SAME OLD…IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING WACKY AND UNIQUE AND OUT THERE…IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR PURE SILLY ENTERTAINMENT SUSPEND YOUR SHAME AND ALLOW YOURSELF TO ENJOY THIS FUN CREATIVE PIECE OF NONSENSE THAT IS A GREAT ESCAPE. Absolute absurdity and I loved it!
Those without an appreciation for the absurd need not apply. That being said, this movie is absurd in all the good ways movies fail to be today. I have to say that being a child of the 1980’s and having followed the progress of this production from the very first time the words “Yoga Hoser’s” was uttered by Scott Mosier on SModcast, knew what to expect from the word go. I knew going into this movie that it’s going to be silly, absurd and really funny! I was not left disappointed! I even would say that everyone that doesn’t care for the movie must not have been fans of Absurdist comedy to begin with. I grew up on Pink Panther Peter Sellers, Steve Martin movies, Cheech n Chong, Strange Brew, the Man with 2 Brains, Airplane, Mel Brooks etc. I know quality absurdity I like to think. This movie Yoga Hoser’s is just that, Absolute absurdity and I loved it!

Item came through as expected and in excellent condition, but the movie itself is a stinker. Arguably one of Kevin Smith’s worst films, and not really worth the watch. Convoluted plot with some really confusing scenes. Johnny Depp is in the film, which is a surprise, along with Adam Brody, Haley Joel Osment, and Justin Long to name others, but I cannot recommend watching this film in it’s entirety.

I went into this one expecting to be let down. Most of the things I heard about this movie were not great. Even Smith himself puts it down all the time. But I really enjoyed it. It’s definitely a Kevin Smith movie. If you’re a fan you’ll like it.Yeah it’s cheesy and silly. But it’s a lot of fun. Not as many celebrities as in his earlier films, but a lot of great actors anyway. Do yourself a favour and give it a try. If you can find it! I had a really hard time finding a copy.

Ok… so I love Kevin Smith movies!! I have all his films (except Cop Out, because he didnât write that one and so I donât really class it as a Kevin Smith movie…) but when I saw the trailer for this film, I thought âwow… this does not look funny and the characters seem annoyingâ. Then it was released in the US (Iâm in the UK) and I saw all the negative reviews and assumed they were spot on. Then I watched some clips on YouTube and again thought to myself âthis ainât funny and the characters are annoyingâ. So the films been out for a while now and I recently decided to buy it, just so my Kevin Smith collection isnât incomplete…I was pleasantly surprised!Is it amazing?… no.Is it his best work?… noIs it as bad as itâs made out to be?… hell no!It was actually a fun little movie, yeah, it slowed down here and there and took a long while before the action started to happen, but itâs still pretty entertaining. Itâs better than Red State, thats for sure!But seriously… if youâre a casual movie fan… maybe give it a miss, itâs not that good to the point where Iâll call it a âmust seeâ… but if youâre a Kevin Smith fan who like me thought âI think Iâll give this one a missâ… DONT!Itâs no where near as bad as the critics say it is.
