Spot on with Specs
Same day shipping, received promptly and in factory packaging. This was first purchase of high value gaming laptop and after thorough review it was spot on with its specs and features. Very pleased with performance and quality. Excellent seller, would buy from them again.

A good experience with MSI Katana
The laptop is cost-effective. Behave smoothly when dealing with some 3A games, e.g. Cyberpunk 2077. The major issue is the cooling system, front panel can get very hot when playing games.

Works great with Steam games
Works great with Steam games. I needed a laptop with a gaming GPU, because my older i7 laptop with integrated graphics was too slow. Now I can play at full resolution without the previous lag. I also needed more disk space, and this one comes with a 1tb m.2 PCI SSD. There is a slot for a 2nd m.2 SSD, but there is no mounting bracket available for it. 16gb of RAM seems like plenty, with two 8gb DDR5 memory modules filling the 2 available memory slots. It’s upgradable to 64gb, which is probably overkill. The Nvidia graphics with 6gb of video RAM work just fine with the Steam games I’ve played. The LED lighted multi-color keyboard is a nice touch. It came with Windows 11 Home Edition with minimal bloatware preinstalled. It works just fine with Oracle VirtualBox to run Linux virtual machines. I took away 1 star for a few negative things. It’s heavy at almost 5 lbs and not ‘ultraportable’. It also doesn’t have ‘all day battery life’ either. But I guess that’s to be expected considering the CPU and GPU specs. I plan to use it as a desktop plugged in all the time anyway, so no big deal for me. I got mine at a big box retailer for a rollback price around $800. So far, I’m very happy with this laptop and it’s a great replacement for my older hardware.

Pictures of keyboard misleading
Bought this for our son for his birthday. Bought it early so by the time he opened it it was too late to return it. Picture shows multicolored âphantomâ keyboard but this model doesnât allow for that type of keyboard. Nowhere in the description does it say that. The multi colored keyboard was one of the big reasons we chose this particular computer. Tried reaching out to the seller with no response. Finally called the computer company who gave us the bad news.

Fast GPU
The RTX 4050 runs a particular program faster than Google Colab’s servers.Runs BOINC very quickly too.I am pleased with the laptop, though I’ve only had it for like 6 hours.

Do not purcahse under any circumstance. Waste of money there are much better options out there!
I bought this laptop for micro center. Kinda giving a review bombing across all retail sites to warn people, since i cant leave and actual review on the MSI site. Bought this laptop in June of 2023, immediately began having issue with playing any kind of video game, the GPU and CPU would fail and the same time crashing my computer and forcing a hard restart on top of this it blue screened constantly. I am a college student and needed my laptop with no back up option i was left to struggle with this for months and lost work constantly. I finally sent the laptop back to manufacturer when it would blue screen 2-4 time upon turning on or waking up. got the laptop back in early march taking about 2-3 weeks for repairs. When i got the repair sheet back the they effectively replaces everything but the shell of the laptop. After repair i solely used the computer for school work even though i bought it for gaming. Fast forward into July of 2024, and surprise surprise more issues. My GPU is failing despite being replace in march. I now blue screen after turning the computer on ran some BIOS and diagnostic tools and its definitely a GPU issue. Looks like a surge in volts, which turns the GPU off and crashes the computer. Only issue is it seems to be getting worse and worse. Programs are starting to crash and my computer blue screens frequently. MSI also refuses to fix any issues because my 1 year warranty was up in June despite repairs being done 6 months ago. This is a know issue with the 40 series GPUs and I7s in MSI laptops. For a 2000 dollar laptop i would have rather bought an Alienware
