Excellent quality for the product. Very sturdy and cannot be bitten into or broken easily by kids unlike other cardboard puzzles which does not last more than a week with kids below 3 years.Bright colours and neatly visible alphabets. each puzzle set for alphabet is different, so kids can play alone and learn.Comes with a neat wooden box for storage which is an added advantage.

The quality of the wooden pieces in this set are not on par with the quality that I have come to expect from Melissa and Doug products. My daughter actually got a splinter from playing with them. I took a piece of sandpaper to them, and improved some of the splintering and rough edges, but I was a little disappointed. Also, when the box arrived, the pieces were aligned flush with the top of the box. But when I removed the pieces, I found a cardboard filler several inches high, which, when removed, made the pieces barely fill the box halfway. It looks like a big, half-empty box, and I didn’t care for that. However, the quality of the printed images and letters, as well as the beautiful illustrations are very Melissa and Doug style and I was pleased with them. So I’m kind of on the fence about this one.(On another note, the font used in the small words printed beneath the pictures appears to be a different font. My clever students were appalled that the Q and other letters were printed differently on the two pieces that they are meant to match.)
