Great pants for winter cycling.
My first ride wearing these was in 50°F weather and my legs were hot! I think that they will be good down to 32° F and with a good quality base layer underneath perhaps down to 20° ish?I’m 5″ 9″ tall, 190lbs (yes, I need to shed a few pounds) waist is 36″ and chest 42″. I ordered a large and they are perfect. They are generously cut around the knees and well tailored overall which allows for great comfort and flexibility while peddling but with no feeling of the material binding or bunching up. However, they don’t feel ‘baggy’ in any way at all… which is a good thing! The bottoms are comfortable around the ankles (and long enough to keep the ankles warm) but they still manage to stay away from the chain guard, which is great!I haven’t tried them in the rain and so I cannot attest to how waterproof they are but I feel sure that they will be fine in a light shower or two. They seem well constructed and I would anticipate them lasting for quite a while if worn 2 – 3 times a week. There is enough cut in the back side area that allows me to wear a pair of padded chamois pants underneath them.I’m going to order a second pair. An equivalent pair of pants at a cycle store would cost 3-4 times more but certainly not 3-4 times better quality. If I haven’t already mentioned it… these are comfy and warm! The down side is that I have no more excuses not to get out and cycle when it’s cold LOL

Pretty good
First off, these seem to be plenty warm. I’ve run them both with and without tights underneath. Without tights, I was comfortable around 40 degrees, no problem. With tights, I’ve ridden below 30 and was a little too warm. As others have noted, these are definitely for cold weather and are indeed very warm. The construction on these is great. In terms of fit, I’m 5ft 7in and weigh about 185lbs with a 36inch waist. The mediums fit pretty well. Maybe a little longer than I would like and a tad bit baggier but work well enough with the tights. I had also bought a pair of Large and sent them back. Way too big. What holds these back from being 5 stars? The the waistline: it’s simply too low in the back. As a result, when you sit down and start pedaling, the back of the pants start to fall down. I have a lighter weight pair of Fox Ranger pants that have great seat coverage and don’t creep down like these do. It’s annoying to have to stop and hike the back of your pants up continually (especially with thick gloves). I’m a little overweight, so maybe others won’t have the same issue. Then again, I myself do not have this issue with the Fox Rangers. I would say these are not true cycling pants but can be used as such. The manufacturer needs to build a bit more room into the hips and seat of these pants, such that the back of the waist covers more, to truly accommodate cyclists. If they did, these would be 5 stars, easy.

Very good, lightweight, cold weather pants
These Baleaf cold weather pants are well designed, well made and reasonably priced. The weight of the pants is very light and the choice of fabrics, along with a waffle pattern on the interior, helps maintain warmth. The fit is pretty much as expected. I chose a size small for my 5″5″ 140 pound frame. The legs are slightly long, but that helps keep ankles covered when knees are bent on a bike. The rise is on the short side, which I like, but may be tight if you have other gear on underneath. The legs are not skin tight, so there is room for leggings worn underneath. The knee area is designed to allow flexibility. The waist has both elastic and a drawstring. The elastic is not especially strong, but the drawstring provides backup. Ankle zippers allow easier dressing. The logo is prominent and reflective in the front, but not as bad as some other brands. I prefer not to be a billboard. There are other reflective areas too. Overall the style is subdued enough where you don’t feel like a clown. Overall, these are basic, quality pants which will keep you warm in cold temps while riding or running, and the price is very reasonable.

Good solution for colder weather riding and other activities!
Being to hot or to cold can make a ride miserable these will help you in the cold!Outer shell blocks the wind and material is robust, inner lining keeps you warm. I would say if you have temperatures below * 40 degrees F you would be best adding long underwear. Yes I have enough room to add long underwear an continue to be comfortable. The legs are tapered nicely so no issues with getting caught in crank. Internal draw string and elastic in waist. These do not try and slide off which I hate they stay in place very well.I also purchased the TSLA offering in identical configuration and I found them to be a bit more comfortable for my liking. Nevertheless I like both and plan to ware both.* For example 40 deg F with 20 mph (wind as in riding speed)= 30 deg F. A good approximation of the wind-chill temperature can be found by multiplying the wind speed by 0.7 and then subtracting that value from the air temperature. Also calculators can be found online. They pants are also good for casual ware as well a bonus. All around good value.

Women take note
These slim fitting pants are not only super warm, but extra comfy as well. I find it ridiculous that they don’t make these EXACT pants for women. My husband got a pair and I thought they were amazing so I searched, and apparently only men can have warm and comfy. So, I ordered my own men’s riding pants. They fit amazing. I’m 5′ 4″ and 165 lbs and wear a size 12/ large. I ordered a men’s large and they are perfect. Will order more.

These replaced a pair of winter running pants that are almost 20 years old. They features of pockets are great. Movement is free and easy and the warmth is good but you donât overheat on winter days. Very comfortable without breaking the bank. The wind proof feature is a welcomed addition.

I’m 5’8, 160lbs, got the Large one and it was too long. Changing it for a medium. The quality of the product is very good.
