If you use face paint to help break up the outline of your face while archery hunting the two most important things are that it stays on and comes off easily. But one often overlooked thing in hunting is scent. A deer’s nose is incredibly sensitive. You can simply touch something in the woods and a deer can detect your scent for days afterwards. Deer communicate with scent as much as if not more than any other way. Having a strong sense of smell also helps protect them from danger. This stuff seemed to have a strong odor. If you play the wind right it shouldn’t matter but when the wind unexpectedly shifts as it often does you don’t want to add insult to injury by having more scent than needed heading into the wrong direction. The wind only stays perfect in a perfect world.This goes on well, stays put and comes off easily but maybe a little less smelly would be better.

This is great for the price. I bought this because all the dumpster kitties I go waterfowl hunting with never bring face masks. They spend all morning showing their glowing white cherub faces to the birds to I started bringing face paints to threaten them all with. Now they all bring masks. This stuff works.

The face paint itself is good, I have no problems with it. I wish there was more black and green, as the browns and tans are basically the color of my skin. The big bummer is the mirror. It is important to have a mirror when applying camo face paint so that you can discern mistakes and parts that pop out. The mirror that comes with this does not work.
