Worked Like a Charm for Repairing Our Catsâ Scratching Posts
I bought this sisal rope to fix up our catsâ old scratching posts instead of buying new ones. Wrapping it around the posts was pretty straightforward, and the rope itself feels sturdy and durable. The cats took to it right awayâno hesitation at all. They were back to scratching like nothing changed! Iâm glad I found this, as it saved me some money and kept the posts they love around a little longer. If youâve got scratched-up posts youâre not ready to toss, this is a great option.

Perfect replacement
My 3 cats love to scratch the cat trees–I have 3! After a while (a year or so) they manage to finally tear through the sisal and I have to replace about half of it. This works great. I’m lucky to have a pneumatic crown stapler so I use 1/4″ x 3/4″ staples which if FAR better that hot melt glue. This will last me several years! BTW. it does have a slight odor but my cats love it like catnip.Retired Veterinarian far too crazy about cats!

Works for cat scratching poles
Bought 2 rolls of this to redo 3 cat scratching poles. Works well and is same size and composition as what was previously on the scratching poles. Highly recommend this if cat scratching poles need to be recovered. Saved us money in not having to replace entire cat tree, which is still in great shape.

Decent amount for the price
I feel like you get a lot for the price. So far it’s held up my cat’s scratch attacks. I gave it a four star due to a vinegar like smell, which eventually fades over a week or two.

Great product
Our cat scratchers cost $35 each (and up). With this rope I was able to re-rope two scratchers for about $15. Theyâre like new and the cats love them. I will definitely be doing this again. It takes about 65â per 17â post. The 164â allows me to do two with 30 feet left over.

Scratch happy cats again
I had to replaced the original rope on the cat tree. This was a lot thicker and seems to be a bit of an upgrade to what was on it. It had a little smell to it when it was first opened, but that went away quickly. I replaced 3 posts and still have enough for the 4th when it needs it. They seem to be holding up better than the original that the tree came with.

Exactly what I needed
Whatâs not to like – itâs rope for a cat scratcher. My cats destroy the cat scratchers so Iâm constantly repairing them. This rope fits the bill!

Do not buy if you have a nose – this stuff stinks bad as soon as the packaging is breached
This stuff stinks. The product description says natural sisal rope. What it doesn’t mention is whatever chemical, oil, or pesticide that this natural sisal rope is treated with before selling it to you. I now see why this was packaged in an airtight plastic wrapping. The moment the plastic was breached a terrible smell filled the room and transferred onto whatever I placed this rope on. The rope has a light oily feel to it, my fingers feel slippery (and are stinky) after touching this rope. I would return it, but I do not want to subject any retail/delivery workers to this stench. Dishonest product description for not stating that this rope is treated with something that is very stinky.
